***GRACES POV***I stood outside letting the night air hit me as I breathed it in trying to clear my mind. I've been letting my feelings get the best of me even though I promised myself I wouldn't.
Just as I was enjoying the quiet i heard a familiar voice and turned to see the person I didn't want to see right now, "Miss Saintclair" said Miss Anderson, I sighed why did she follow me all the way out here?!. "Is there something you need miss Anderson?" I asked without even looking at her "Yes, I want an answer to my question" she said "I already told you" I said "No you didn't, you just ran away again, a trait of yours I find quite irritating" she said I didn't respond instead I just stood there, I heard her walk closer but I stayed where I was.
"Do you want a divorce settlement?" She said and it as like that was my last straw. "It's Not About Money" I shouted, "Then What Is It About?" She snapped "YOU!" I shouted as I turned around to face her.
"Me?" She repeated shocked.
"I-It would seem that I've caught feelings" I said my heart pounding in my chest as I looked into her eyes, those sharp Honey brown eyes that I use to can't stand now makes my heart flutter at just the sight of them.
"What are you saying?" She asked still not getting it, I stepped closer to her and reached up brushing her hair from her face before leaning forward she capturing her lips with my own.
She closed her eyes and so did eye as we both moved our lips against one another's, I thought she would push me away or tell me to stop but to my surprise she didn't. After a moment I pulled away and leaned my forehead against her as I continued to cup both sides of her face with my hands.
"I'm saying that I'm in love with you miss- no Andrea" I said, she looked up into my eyes but didn't say a word. It was quiet and nothing but the sound of the wind blowing along side the pounding of my heart against my chest could be heard.
"I- Grace I don't know what to say to that" she said "Say you love me too" I replied, her brows frowned and her facial expression softened for the first time ever as her eyes looked up into mine.
"I-" was all she could say, the hope I had just moments ago slowly started to fade and my hands dropped from her face and back to my sides as I stuffed them in my pocket and looked away.
It was obvious she didn't feel the same "Sorry..." I said wiping at my face trying to keep my tears at bay.
"Grace-" she said but I cut her off "It's fine I understand, we should go back inside it's getting cold" I said before walking away not even giving her a chance to reply.
I don't think I could take hearing her say she doesn't feel the same.
________________________________________
I was home more than usual and so was Andrea considering she quit her job and I graduated, things were awkward between us after I said what I said to her that night.
Just then there was a knock on the door and I walked over to open it, I opened the door only to come face to face with a tall dark haired woman with the lightest of blue eyes and dressed in a nice but expensive pants suit. I remembered her as the woman who shared and umbrella with Andrea and was talking with her at the red carpet event.
"Oh we meet again" she said with a smile "Who are you?" I asked "I suppose we haven't met officially have we?, I'm Valerie Valentine" she said I looked down at her hands to see that she was holding a bouquet of flowers, "and why are you here?" I asked as I folded my arms across my chest and looked the woman up and down.
"To see Andrea we have business to discuss" she said. "Do you always bring roses to clients?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her but before she could answer we both heard Andreas voice "Valerie?!" She said walking up, I took a step back out of the way.'
"I thought we were meeting tomorrow?" She said "We are I just thought I'd stop by before hand, here" said the woman before handing her the bouquet of roses.
"I- this was not necessary" said Andrea "Don't worry I do this for all my clients" said the woman shooting me a sharp look before smiling down at Andrea. I rolled my eyes "I'm going upstairs" I said "Ok.." said Andrea as I walked away.
Was she the reason Andrea rejected me?, does she like her?.
