Between us, we managed to empty the apartment. Tom did make bail, and although he had a restraining order against him, he still found ways to be in my eye line and head.
Moira understood about me wanting to move the business. She said that she would keep an eye out for any potential properties.
I kept the business open until I could move. Moira ran the office and any clients, I would meet anywhere but the actual store. I was living with Brendon now. We discussed things, and it was just easier because I would inevitably be living with him anyway.
We put my grandmother's furniture into storage for now.
Moira found another admin person, too. A lady called Tricia.
According to Moira, Tom would accost her and ask Moira questions about me. If I was missing him, and was I still with Brendon. Moira said it was none of his business. I told her to be careful because he's unhinged.
Vic and Maya came for a visit and couldn't believe what had been going on. Mayas pregnancy was visible now. We all took turns talking to her belly. Maya didn't know what she was having. She said that she didn't want to know.

One evening, I was on my laptop looking for a new space to have the store. Brendon was away in Las Vegas, seeing his parents. I swore that I heard a noise outside, but when I looked, I couldn't see anything.
I carried on with what I was doing. I heard another noise and I went to the patio doors. I looked outside, and yet again, I couldn't see anything. The sun hadn't set yet, so if there was anything out there, I would be able to see it. I sighed and closed my laptop. I put the TV on and watched some movie about a woman who has magical powers and she freezes everything. By now, I just put the noises down to an animal of some sort. My phone rang out, which made me jump. It was Brendon. We talked for about 2 hours, and I forgot all about the weird noises. It was dark by the time we hung the phone up. I got myself ready for bed. I sent a few photos to Brendon to make him hot under the collar.
'Baby, I love them. Keep em coming.' He texted. So I did. He called me again and we had phone sex. Even through the phone, he was good. Afterwards, I fell fast asleep, with Brendon still on the line.
The next day, I went out to my car to go and meet a client. I noticed that all 4 of my tyres were flat. This scared me. I called the police and then Brendon. He wasn't due home until tomorrow. He wouldn't hear anything other than that I wanted him home. I did, but I felt guilty for bringing him away from seeing his family.
Brendon texted me back to say he was getting the next flight back to LA. It was in 45 minutes, and there were seats available on the flight. So he would be home in about 2 hours. I went back inside the house to wait for the police. I also called my client and explained the situation. He was very understanding, and we rearranged the appointment. I did some work on my laptop instead. Then I looked for property again. An email popped up from the office. Moira sent me some potential places. One in particular caught my eye. I contacted the realtor about it.
As soon as a deal was struck, I put the other place on the market.
After the incident with my car tyres, we decided on some extra security. We had cameras installed and improved the fencing on and around the house.
Nothing ever came of that incident because I didn't see anyone.
The building sold quickly, and for more than I thought it would. My realtor said that I had made so many changes and upgrades that I could ask for what I was asking for. I was sad to sell it as it was perfect and I loved my apartment. But I had to keep away from Tom.
The new building didn't have an apartment over it, like the other one did. It was a beautiful big space, and I soon had it looking exactly how I wanted it, again. I was exhausted, physically and mentally. I am so lucky to have such good friends, family, and a boyfriend who supports me.
I got home from another busy day and went straight up to the bedroom to nap. Brendon was out running errands.
I wasn't sure how long I slept for, but it was dark when I woke up. The house was in complete darkness. I furrowed my brow in worry. Brendon should have been home hours ago. I turned lights on as I made my way through the house until I got to my purse. I searched through it, looking for my cell phone. I found it and looked at the screen. I had a lot of missed calls, voicemails, and text messages. Everyone one of them was from Spencer, and Grace, Brendons' mother.
Now I really was worried. I called Grace back.
"Oh Robyn, thank goodness!" She said.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"It's Brendon." Grace replied, her voice shaky. My hand fluttered to my chest. "He's been in a car accident. He's in the hospital."
"Oh!" I gasped out. I got the details of which hospital and set off. I tried not to speed and concentrate on the road. Remarkably, I was safe and got there in one piece. I parked up and went into the ER department.
"Robyn!" Spencer called out.
"Spence!" I said, rushing towards him. We hugged. "What happened?"
"We were coming out of the studio, Brendon was waiting to turn right. He thought that he was clear to go. As we pulled out, an idiot sped out of nowhere and crashed into us. Brendons side got the brunt of it." Spencer explained. I put a hand on Spencers shoulder.
"How are you?" I asked him. Spencer shrugged.
"I am ok. A little bit of whiplash and some bruises." I nodded. "But Brendon, they say he could lose some of his liver. He's in pretty bad shape. He's conscious, though. He was asking for you."
"Yea, I got in from work and just flaked out. I was super tired. Do you think I can see him?"
"Go to the nurses station and ask. I am sure it will be ok before he goes up for surgery."
