Things were getting messy.
After finding out about Chisaki's death Idina ran into the party to talk to a few individuals that were no doubt criminals in position of power, then we filed into the black sedan and sped to the Yakuza manor."This is an act of war!" A short thin man wearing a bird beak mask crowed.
"Agreed! All out war!" Screamed another.
We were gathered around a large room, Idina standing in the front with a glazed expression as the men screamed and yelled, arguing amongst each other like blood thirsty hyenas. Shoto peered around the room paled face while Yuzuki hung back in the shadows eyeing the rowdy crowd of Yakuza members screaming for retribution. We didn't bother hiding our faces back at the manor, and no one seemed interested in questioning why two heroes were in attendance of such an important meeting.
I had my focus set on Idina. She was quiet... thinking... and yet I knew there was a looming shadow hanging over her. Something about her was off. She was distant. It turned out that Chisaki broke his promise to Idina and went out to attack Kaio Hitashi against her recommendation. We assumed the psychic picked up on his thoughts and revealed his plan to Kaio, who in turn dealt Chisaki his fate, along with the twenty men he took with him. Twenty Yakuza members slaughtered. A blood bath... they never stood a chance. And now because of this, the underworld is demanding blood. War they're calling for. They want their revenge, and they're willing to kill whoever they need to get it.
"We have members all over the country. If this is war then we must pull together! Shall I call our members here?" One of the beaked males asked, throwing an expectant stare towards Idina. She blinked as if pulling herself back into reality and raised her chin to see the collection of people better. The room fell to a hush as they all waited in anxious anticipation for her answer. Her brow furrowed together with confusion.
"Why are you asking me?" She huffed out, her voice raspy.
The men all turned to peer at each other, confusion swimming among them. One of them stepped forward, a blonde man like myself but a good three inches shorter and a few pies too heavy.
"Because with Chisaki gone, the Yakuza falls to you. We wait on your command. You are the Yakuza now."
I suppressed my surprised gasp. Shoto stiffened. Yuzuki grinned a serpents smile. Idina... she was now the sole heir of the Yakuza. The entire group commanded by her and her alone. That power... she was now the Queen of the underworld. Idina seemed to be thinking the same as she blinked once. Twice. Three times. Disbelief and exhaustion painted across her delicate features.
"Our sword is yours, Isana." He added, determined eyes blazing into hers. "We will go to war if that's what you wish."
"And if I order you to stand down?" She asked. He paused for a beat before answering, his voice stern and unwavering.
"Then we stand down. Your wish is ours."
I saw the tick in her jaw, the cogs turning as her mind reeled and calculated.
"I need to see someone. I'll be back." She strode out the room without a second glance, Shoto, Yuzuki and I following after her.

"We cannot allow a war." Endeavour's booming voice thundered through the warehouse, his hands clasped together as he stared back at the Yakuza herself.
"Kaio murdered Chisaki." She spoke slowly as if to enunciate the severity of what she were saying.
"I understand that."
"Then you understand that there must be retribution. They want revenge. I want revenge."
"You told me yourself they would stand down if you commanded it." Endeavour countered.
