Chapter 2

[Santiagos Pov]

"Where are we going?" I asked her while jumping in the car.

"We're going for a walk on the beautiful beach" she said while jumping in the passenger seat.

"Good, because you were making me crazy baby" I whispered in her ear. She let out a little laugh and kissed my cheek.

"Payback's a bitch, babe" she whispered referring back to when I told her the exact same thing.

*10 minutes later*

We arrived at the beautiful beach and we jumped out the car locking it on our way out. I walked over to Maria and held out my hand for her to hold. She grabbed it and slightly squeezed it interlocking her fingers with mine. I smiled and kissed the top of her head.

We walked along the beach when we noticed a café. "I'm hungry, lets go there" she said, pulling me with her.

She ordered a big Blueberry Muffin and 2 Chocolate Cappucino's then sat down at a table. We didn't say a word until we finished our food and she broke the silence. "Baby, do you remember what I told you last week?" she asked.

-Flashback-

We were watching tv in our bedroom and I could feel Maria staring at me. Just by the look on her face, I could tell she wanted to tell me something.

"Baby, whats wrong?" I asked her slightly worried.

"Well...You know i've been planning to go to Barcelona, right?" she asked. I nodded.

"Well I want to go.." she paused. "..in 2 weeks" she added with a worried look.

"Why are you so worried?" I asked her. I've always known she wanted to go to Barcelona, why was she so worried?

"Because I may not see you again.." she said almost whispering.

"Aww baby, don't worry. This is what you've wanted since I can remember you telling me" I looked deep into her eyes and said.

"Yes, but I have to leave someone I really care about and my family" she slowly said.

"Hey, I'm always here for you, you know that right?" I asked.

"Yeah, I know" she nodded.

"Besides this was just for fun, remember?" I said winking at her remembering all the fun times we had together. She shot me a big smile and gave me a tight hug.

"I thought you were gonna cry and beg me to stay with you" she said sounding relieved.

"I do care about you baby and you know that, I would be happier if you followed your dreams" I said and kissed her forehead.

"That means we have 2 weeks to do the funnest things ever" I said trying to lighten the mood. She nodded. We cuddled up and fell asleep.

-Flashback ended-

"Yes of course baby" I nodded.

"We only have one week left" she sighed.

"Yes and we better make the most of it" I said winking at her.

"What do you have in mind babe?" she asked but I could see in her eyes that she knew exactly what I meant.

"You'll see" I replied with a smirk. We decided to leave the café because it was already 3:00pm. We walked back to the car and jumped in and drove home.
