Chapter 40

I remained in my black jeans but removed my top, replacing it with a white tank top then slipping into my leather jacket. I tied my hair into a high bun then quickly added another layer of lip gloss to my lips.

I checked myself in the mirror before slipping into my shoes and heading into the living room, where Neymar was seated, staring at his phone screen.

"Is this ok?" I asked, making sure I'm dressed appropriately for our date.

"Yeah" he paused to look me up and down. "You look great" he smiled.

"Thanks. Shall we go?" I wandered round looking for my handbag.

"We shall" he said then linked our hands together.

"So, where are you taking me?" I asked curiously as we were in the back of a cab.

"I was thinking.. maybe we could go see a movie?" he requested.

"Really? I would love to" I said excitedly. I haven't been to the cinemas in so long.

"Ok. So, romance or Comedy?" he asked. I love romantic movies but I'm in the mood to laugh my ass off.

"Comedy, please" I replied.

"Ok. So, the movie you chose is 'The Grimsby Brothers'" he laughed. I've seen ads of this movie on television and thought it was hilarious.

"Oh, great. I can't wait" I laughed.

We soon arrived to the theatre and he paid the driver before we slipped out. I looked amazed at the sight in front of me. The theatre was huge with a big sign at the front and posters all around it.

"Two tickets to The Grimsby Brothers" Neymar said to the woman selling tickets. We had been playing around with the games for a good fifteen minutes to kill time as we came too early.

"Yep. Would you like anything from the candy bar?" she offered.

"Could we get the couples combo and.." he paused and looked at me.

"Could we also get some Pods and the crunchy M&M's please" I said to her.

"Yep. Is that all for today?" she asked. "Yeah" he replied. "Thanks" Neymar said once he paid for everything. I offered to pay at least for the tickets but he came back with the 'This is a date, I'm the guy so I should pay" speech in which I sighed in defeat.

We made it into the cinema and searched for our seats. We were seated in the middle of the middle row, the best seats in the house.

"Hey, thank you for this" I smiled and squeezed his hand.

"It's the least I could do after trying to push you away in the last week" he sighed. "I'm sorry for not talking to you.." he started but I pressed my index finger to his lips.

"No. Don't worry about it. We're here now" I smiled as I cupped his left cheek. He nodded then pressed his lips against mine for a few seconds before pulling away.

"I missed you" he said as he stroked my hand with his thumb.

"I missed you too" I said then intertwined our fingers together.

The huge screen lit up and I looked around to see less people than I expected. There was one couple at the back, a group of boys sitting in the front row and a group of girls seated behind them.

The first scene of the movie was a sex scene. It was disturbing, if I say so myself.

"Ewwww" I laughed and covered my eyes. Although it was disturbing, I couldn't keep my laughter in. I heard the cute sound of Neymars laughter fill the room which made me smile.
