34.Lets Move On!!

>> 2 MONTHS LATER!!

The time went on with it's own pace.. Currently, the sky has been painted into its shade of orange and red hues with some pink and blue in it, marking a beautiful evening..

In this span if two months, Teju has gotten more comfortable with Karan, she has started trusting him again, and it's not that he got her trust in free but it were his actions and behavior that made him gain her trust back..

In this whole span of time, he did his best to cure the insecurities he had given to her with the lovely gestures and that's what made Teju believe that he is aware if his actions and even trying to rectify it, and this is the thing with got him her trust as his reward..

Teju, today has finally thought to let him a bit in, into her shell and hence has taken him to her secret place, that is lake, the one which is her secret place and none knows about it.. Currently they both are in her car, with Teju behind the wheels while Karan being the passenger princess today with the blast of Punjabi music in the car, making the atmosphere jolly..

While driving teju remembered an incident that happened last month, like it was almost 3 weeks earlier when Karan had asked her for the dinner..
They had went into this fine restaurant, where while talking he had asked her about pursuing her..

To be precise, they were having a talk while eating when he asked,

"Teju, can i pursue you?? Like can you give me a chance to be with you as more than a friend??"

She was shocked was an understatement but she being she, composed herself and said,

"Karan, at this point of life I don't know if I want any such thing from you or not or from anybody but I would want to be a friend with you always as you are the amazing person..About pursuing,I don't know, it's all up to you, like if you wanna woo me Or not but I can guarantee you to reciprocate your every feelings..So, please if you are feeling anything towards me, keep that in control as at the end may be you would get hurt..And if you ask me, let's just be friend for now and leave rest of the things and equations for the time..let the time decide for us.."

While on the other side, Karan was thinking about how the time has changed their equation, like the Karan from high school and the Karan of present, the one who is getting crazy for her.. All the way their equation that has changed that is from being ignorant to being friends and then being the comfort persons for each other..

Being lost in the chain of thoughts, they reached the destination.. Teju took him to her usual place where she sits in front of lake, on the rock.. Both got settled there, and kept sitting in the comfortable silence until Karan said,

"We came a long way,Teju..like in school me being ignorant towards you while in the marriage you being ignorant towards me and now we being the comfort to each other.."

Teju before saying anything, hugged his arm from side and kept her head on his shoulder, while he kept his head in her head and then she said,

" Hmm..From me being in Tenu samjhawan ki phase to you being Tenu samjhawan ki phase.."

Hearing her Karan hummed and then she continued,

"You know, that day when you said those things to me na, I was hurt not because you said those mean things to me but because that day i came to know that you were just pretending to be my friend when in reality your whole thoughts about me were different..And at the time of your outburst,it came to me as an shock they way you spoke to me..I just went from there running,took an auto and went home directly and rather than crying I decided that I would let you be the way you are and from now on I won't chase you but rather than would give my all time in my academics as the boards were approaching..After results were out, I decided to came to here, Chicago as baba knew Rey's family like baba nd Rey's papa were friends from long when baba was in Jeddah..while Rey's family like his mom and grandparents used to stay in Mumbai, we had that family relations with his family but then when uncle started his own start up they moved here to Chicago..So when I decided to come here,Baba allowed as Rey's family was here..It was just 3 to 4 months that I had came here and one fine, I got the news of aajoba passing away and that was it, that was the time oli had last visited India and after that I never came back until Dev and Sona's wedding and that too as Rey forced me..You know, in all these years, I kept running away from my own self, the day when you had outburst,my tears spilled in front of you but then I never cried not even that day at night..I didn't cried until I came back to India.."

After taking a pause, she again continued,

"Maine toh decide kar liya tha k tujhse kabhi baat hi nahi karni but shayad destiny k alag plans the, jitna tujhse door bhagi utna hi teri pass lati rahi destiny..After all these, 11 to 12 years, today, at this moment am feeling light, as if a stone has been removed off my chest.."

Both kept silence for a while but then breaking it Karan said,

"I am sorry for my past behavior teju, except for apologizing I can't do anything else.."

"You don't need to do any other thing,you being realising that your actions hurted me and then trying to rectify it from past months was more than enough for me..So now, let's leave the past in the past and live in the present.." Said Teju..

"Tu aisi kyu hai?? Like itni understanding?? " Karan asked..

"Ab jo hun jaisi hun aisi hi hun!!" Teju shrugged!!

"Hmm..i know, Tu jo hai jaisi hai aisi hi hai..And I love you for the one you are.." Karan said while he spilled the last I love you accidentally..

While Teju just looked at him being shocked and surprised..

So, finally here comes an end to this book.. It was a wonderful journey writing it..
