"So..." Mr. Dayal's voice forced me to look away and so did she. " I must say, you all have been so unique and interesting with your ideas. But the two which caught my mind has something special in them. But unfortunately, I can't merge with both, right?" He chuckled. " And that's why I would like the others to leave so that the finalists can put their best foot forward to grab the opportunity. " Everyone else's eyes shine with hope and confidence while mine met hers in a challenging state.
If she thinks, she can take this away from me then she is so wrong.
"So the two which will stay are, Mr. Aryansh Sehgal." My lips curled up and I noticed her struggling to keep her smirk.
Once the applause died down, the room filled with anticipation and defiant glanced at the standing in front to seize the last opportunity but hers never leaving mine.
She loves me too much to do that.
"And Miss. Ruhanika Desai." The room again filled with applauses and she smiled. A smile that told me to not forget my place. If not below her, then not above her as well.
Right beside her? I scoofed. That even more impossible.
"Congratulations Miss. Desai. Turns out getting late really is a starting of great things sometimes." She grins at Dayal and I resist the urge to stand in between two of them.
The remaining people stood up and left, leaving the three of us alone.
"So, Mr. Sehgal, Miss. Desai. Let me introduce you towards to each other. "
I chuckled. "No offense Mr. Dayal." I relaxed into my seat and support my elbow on the chair. " But we do each other already. Better than you, I might add."
"Oh ofcourse, way better than anyone else." She completed and Raghav looked back and forth between us.
"O..h. That's nice. We shall head back to the big part then. " He sat on his seat and we nodded, breaking our eyelock to look at the person in front.
"I personally liked both the proposals equally. Yours," he pointed at me. " Had the best strategy to make our projects work. The finances, the managing, the testing and the labour costs. I liked them all. But yours," he pointed at Ruhi. " Had the best strategy of Marketing. And not only that, I really loved the strategy to expand it over the seven countries you mentioned." Ruhi smiled. "I am glad."
"Me too." Dayal returned the favour .
I resist the urge to roll my eyes. "But Mr. Raghav, I think yours expertise is in the making line. The construction unit of your company is top notch and it had been the base of your...."
"And exactly that's why I think you should now focus on promoting it more." I closed my eyes for a moment. Its barely been 4 minutes and she is already getting on my nerves. "Since Mr. Sehgal mentioned, you had expertise in the construction unit and as far as I researched, your company is handling well the finances too. Infact they have been the most affordable in the past five years. That's why you should now focus on promoting it. Because no matter how luxurious your villas have been, how comfortable your hotels have been and how strong your building have been, the local audiance is still unaware of them. "
"As if the local can afford them?" I intervened.
"Not now, but if we can work on budget and offers, I am sure they can." She looked at me for a moment and then again focused on the person in front. I resist the sudden urge to grab her face and tilt it towards me.
"And Mr. Dayal. We should not forget that these locals, these middle class forms the biggest section of our society and so we should focus on them as well. "
