"I have to start befriending Light. Not that I'm not friends with him, but I need him to start opening up to me."You say, Hayami listening and nodding. "To do so, I think it's best that I start introducing an interest in Kira and Savia to him." You hold your chin in between your index finger and thumb.
You jolt as you hear knocking on your door. Looking through the little hole, your eyebrows raise. The door creaks open, "Light? Hello!" You welcome him, allowing him entrance to your house. "Hello. Sorry for the intrusion, (Y/N), but we haven't spoken in a while. Busy studying?" He beams at you slightly and it didn't really seem like pretend.
Lately, (Y/N) has intrigued me with her intelligence. I am really quite interested in her thoughts and opinions. After that FBI encounter though, I finally have time to speak to her.
You nod, closing the door behind him. "I was actually just about to go to your place. I'm still very curious on your opinion on Kira and Savia." You say, going towards your living room to sit down with him. "Ah, I was curious on yours too." He says, finding that your thinking patterns are very alike. Could be because you both had a sort of Note... Joke. You both just thought similarly. You shared many morals and so, were persons alike.
"Make yourself at home." You say, showing him to any seat in the place. He ended up sitting on the same couch as you. "So.." He says, awkwardly, because he didn't want to feel intrusive and ask yet again the same question.
"Kira,"
You muttered, and it sent a shiver up his spine. He didn't know why. Maybe you, maybe hearing the name, his name, felt as if he were a higher being, maybe it just felt as if you called his name. Ryuk cackles. "I believe Kira's intentions are good. But I also believe that Kira only killing those convicted of crimes isn't right. I.." You think for a moment. You have to pretend you don't know how he kills. "I don't know how he kills, but if he could, maybe killing the guilty would be better, those framed must be spared, those of pure evil rid of the world. It seems like Savia is doing just that. I almost fully agree with Savia's decisions and practically morals. She saves the innocent that were wrongfully judged by Kira, but allows Kira to kill the ones truly evil."
His face seems almost relieved: she understood. But Savia... He has been grateful for her presence. It's like she was his Goddess in this New World. Savia tends to his people. He punishes, she protects. It is perfect. And with Savia there, it's like he has someone protecting him too, fixing his mistakes, he has someone that has been sharing many similar traits as him and agreements despite never being in contact.
"Yeah, I agree. Kira killing those for lesser crimes feels wrong," he grabs onto his knees, "but I do see where he's coming from. With Savia, I believe that she is doing good. She is protecting those that are too weak to defend themselves. And rightfully so, she isn't killing anyone."
"Even if Kira is the one doing the dirty work?"
"I don't think it's the dirty work. She's only judging for the Heavens as seen fit by her. Kira's judgement could be somewhat unstable. Maybe she has the Divine Judgement and Kira is the Divine Executor?"
"That does seem like the case. Divine Judgement, huh? Interesting." Hayami opens her bloodshot eyes to look at Ryuk, both behind their holders on the couch. Hayami waves and Ryuk waves back. Their faces looked like :D, and neither of the holders saw them interact with each other.
"That's just my assumption. I don't really know much on the case... Except my father is working on it."
"Ah.. Have the police got anywhere with it? And that detective, what was his name? L? He really clarified the existence of Kira and Savia... He is very smart. I want to see how far he'll go in terms of the Kira case."
"You do? Yeah, he is pretty interesting, and it was almost like he was asking for a death wish... live." He was a bit disappointed that you also supported L, but it was natural. It was a challenge between L and the Divine Duo. (The name people online use to identify you two.) He assumed you didn't really have a preference. You were just there to observe and not so much to support. Like L will go anywhere with the case.. He has nothing on me, therefore, nothing on Kira.
"But I do think that it'd be much more dramatic if L does win in the end. It would be a satisfying victory for him. But at the same time, maybe the world would be better off without some people.. And with the Divine Duo, it's as if a God and Goddess came to apply judgement to the sinners. But that's not really it. I believe that the Kira and Savia are both mere humans; disguising themselves as divine beings. They might as well be though.. They have powers, and they use it for the greater good. What they think is the greater good, at least."
"Disguising, huh..." He felt a little offended, but he didn't show it. Ryuk lets out a hearty laugh, and one look from Light (of course, when (Y/N) wasn't looking.), and he shuts up. Otherwise, his apple supply will never be stocked ever again.
"I don't know, the Kira case is just really peculiar and it attracts my interest." You shrug. "Also, I'm not sure why," you were going to say it, "but you really remind me of Kira. At least, what Kira gives off as."
Silence.
"Me? Kira?"
"I'm not saying you are, but you might be. It is a plausible possibility though. Even so, I never really thought Kira was a completely bad person."
He scoffs. "I'm hurt you could even think I could be Kira." He said, sighing and obviously pretending to be offended as he grasps his heart and closes his eyes. Almost like the pensive emoji.
"Don't worry, I won't try to see if you are. You're my friend, I do trust you." You said, but you already knew he was. You already knew everything. He gives a slight nod, then checks his watch. "Well, I should get going now. Thank you, (Y/N). You're really fun to talk to."
He puts his shoes back on, waving goodbye. He shuts the door, and the moment he does, Ryuk immediately starts teasing him. "Thank you, (Y/N).... You're really fun to talk to~" He was shot a glare and cackled.
