Humanity.

It's hard to say whether or not people have it. How could you define it anyways? Is it based on whether or not your flesh is human, or if your mind is human? Well, would you allow a monkey into regular stores simply because it was able to comprehend? No. You wouldn't. It'd be peculiar to you. Irregular.

It's an animal! It's still wild, whether its brain is developed or not!

So maybe it is based on the flesh. Whether you look human. But no, if an alien decided to come down to Earth, with no paid attention to societal standards, they wouldn't be accepted either.

What makes something human?

What makes a human, human?

Why do we place ourselves into this spot, into a hierarchy of power based on what we have in our intellect? Or perhaps the hierarchy of economy, or maybe even looks. Does it really matter? If we put ourselves all into a ring, and was told to fight to the death, the hierarchy would be decided by who wins.

Who can survive.

But would whoever survives still be human? Or be an animal, whose only instinct is to kill, to do whatever it takes to remain the last one standing?

What makes a human, human?

Are Light and L still human?

HOME.

"(Y/N)!" Misa waves at you, smiling, as you stand at your door. Your eye twitches as you wave hello. "Hi, Misa." You say, a little strained. "What are you doing here.. with Light?"

And there was the ultimate Kira, standing behind Misa with a grin, an awfully fake one, but a grin nonetheless. "Hello, (Y/N)." He says, walking behind Misa, who began to enter your home. You'd already foresaw them coming over, yet sadly could not do anything about it. Well, maybe hide your Omni Note, but that's really it.

Oh. Okay. Yeah, just walk into my house, I guess.

You think, watching as they step past you, taking off their shoes. Light was definitely thoroughly inspecting the place, looking out for any and all.. well....

He wouldn't confess it, but he was looking around for any clues of another guy.

LIGHT'S ROOM.

Obsession.

Light's main goal is now shredded in his mind, with all that's left being his selfish desires. He's going crazy, he knows it, but his body's choosing all the wrong choices.

This is going to look horrible on him. Suspicious.

Unless it was not classified as one of Kira's murders. But a regular suicide. Because Kira's going for criminals, not ordinary men, who haven't done much wrong in their lives.

And though he hates killing innocent citizens, his hand's making him do otherwise.

He can't control himself.

He's doing this for himself. Not for her. Not for her.

"Light, what are you doing?" Ryuk asks, chewing on an apple as he hovers above Light. He seemed focused. So focused, in fact, that his hand began to sweat a little from how much he was writing. "These aren't criminal's names, are they?" Ryuk peers over, floating. "Haven't seen them on the news. You've seen them on (Y/N)'s file, though."
