"Err.. Ryuzaki? Maybe you should continue investigating?"
Light pointed out, eye twitching as the man in white gazed closely at your face, on a spinny chair beside yours. You were on the left side, doing research on your computer, as L sat by the desk in the middle, and Light on the right side. "No, no, this is investigating, Light, you've got it wrong." He said merely as you sit, back stiff and sweat apparent.
"What are you investigating?? You're just staring weirdly at her." Light says, hand on L's shoulder, vein popping out on his hand, but just barely noticable, but it wasn't very intimidating after seeing that his way of getting to L was by kicking his feet on the floor, spinny chair sliding. "Do you have a problem with that?" He says, eyes gliding all around you. "No, but she's probably uncomfortable right now." Light mutters, and you just shrug.
"She doesn't seem to be?" L internally smirks, face still as stoic as ever but inside, mischievious. "Well, why are you looking at me, Ryuzaki?" You ask, eyes wandering all across the room as if trying to avoid eye contact with L. "I want to speak with you later, (Y/N)." He said, then spun his chair around, going back to his little document report. You sat dumbfounded. He wants to what?
Did you do something or what? Seems very sketchy to you. In any case, it might have been for the fact that you haven't got any alone time to munch on sweets together while talking about something stupid like a book you've recently read (recently as in your past life. very recent, I know.), and it gives L the relief that he usually never feels. It's like.. he doesn't have to think. Just be braindead with you, and share the same comforting release of all his intelligence.
To you, it's like a filler chapter you'd read on your fanfiction websites in your previous life. Pretty much it, yeah.
But after a few moments of silence, Light's eyebrows raise and he looks at L. "Just (Y/N)? The two of you? Alone?" He says, starting to settle in the realization that you're going to be with L, talking about something secretive, alone, just the two of you, with nobody else to see what happens, nobody else for L to worry about seeing what he does to you ━ the more he thinks about it, the more he rambles on in his head of the things that L could do to you if he wasn't there.
You're a calm, collected person, usually, but you really never know when to say no.
Light knows that for sure, seeing how you let him walk all over you, at least, that's what he thinks, and he's starting to get concerned for what you agree to do. He comes to your house uninvited, and yet you welcome him in as if it were a plan in the beginning. You tutor him even when it's on such short notice. You let him do whatever he wants to you, even if it makes you uncomfortable, it makes you laugh.
Wait, let? When did the Light Yagami need the approval of anyone? No, no, he can't think about this right now, he only needs to think of the control he has over you.
That's the opposite of what's truly happening, though, and he will never figure that out. He's stuck in his little paradise of omnipotent power, but in the end..
You're the one walking all over him, and you don't even realize it.
"Yes, Light, just me and (Y/N), alone." L says, propping a cake pop in his mouth to chew. "Nom.." He munches, and you just smile at him, despite being stared down right now. All that went on in the two of you and Light's heads were curiosity.
What possibly could L want to talk about?
What could L possibly do to (Y/N) when I'm not around?
3 HOURS LATER.
And of course, the man's still staring at you. No worries, he really did do his work earlier, researching on the current victims of Kira and revived of Savia. He didn't really need to, though. He already knew the identity of one of them. How hard could it be for the other? Well, he was just lucky you were off guard.
