It was a normal day like any other, but not for seungmin. He had already made up his mind about asking his uncle about the accident that happened to his parents.

He knew they were the kindest people alive, but sadly this little piece of information was the only thing he knew.

On the other hand, seungmin's uncle was a pain in the ass. He was cold and distant. But that didn't mean he was being mean to his nephew. He just didn't know how to handle having a kid, plus he's a very busy man working countless hours a day wanting the best for himself and of course for seungmin too.

It was a cold morning, after all it's December so it's not surprising.

Seungmin opened his eyes, but didn't get up just yet. His mind was racing with scenarios of how his uncle would react to his question about his parents. All the possible scenarios had the same end, his uncle being mad at him. There wasn't a single one that ended successfully and that bothered Seungmin so much. Why is his uncle so opposed to the idea of talking about it? After all Seungmin's mother was his sister, why doesn't he want to talk about her? Seungmin had to find out, as soon as possible.

The boy finally got up from his bed, rubbed his eyes and decided to go downstairs to make something for breakfast. His uncle wasn't home, as always. Seungmin noticed a sticky note on the dining table, it said "I'm at work, don't call me, I'll be home by 10pm". The boy sighed to himself, feeling kind of alone in this big house, but he quickly forgot about his loneliness when he heard a buzzing sound that was coming from his phone.

It was a message from his friend Felix. Seungmin wanted to look at what his friend has to say, but when he opened his phone the message disappeared. As if Felix deleted it. "Weird". The boy said to himself but didn't think much of it. He'll talk to Felix later, that's for sure.

There's more important things to do now, like finally filling up his stomach that has been growling for the past few minutes. He opened the fridge only to find a few leftovers from the past days, but he also saw another sticky note in the fridge, it said: "go buy groceries". Seungmin looked a little annoyed. Why can't his uncle buy the groceries himself? But fine, he'll buy them for his and his uncle's sake.

The boy went back to his room, trying to find something to wear. He has already given up on dressing stylish a long time ago, it just wasn't in his nature. After a while of rummaging through his closet, he finally found a white oversized Tshirt alongside with some oversized black jeans. He quickly put them on, took his bag, wallet, keys and also put on his black puffer jacket because it was really cold outside.

When he was walking to the grocery store he saw a few people looking at him, he wasn't really surprised because in his small town everyone knew him as the "kid without parents". Luckily he had already gotten used to it, because if not, it would really damage his mental health.

He continued walking to the grocery store, the cold breeze hitting his face. Seungmin mentally cursed himself for not dressing warmer, because it was really cold that day.

The boy finally reached the grocery store that was not so far from his house. The cashier welcomed him with a warm smile, obviously a fake one. He wants to get out of there as quickly as possible. Seungmin quickly takes all the things he needs from the different allies, hoping he got everything. After that he pays for the things and before he can leave, the cashier gives him one last fake smile.
