The brown haired boy quickly apologized to the two boys who were still exchanging their opinions about this situation.

At first, they didn't even notice Seungmin is speaking to them, which was really bad because he really isn't the type to start yelling at someone just to get their attention. He just continued awkwardly sitting there, but eventually both the boys noticed that he wants to say something.

After the quick apology and explanation of seungmin's current situation, both the boys nodded, signaling that they understand how bad this situation is.

Seungmin really didn't want to leave, something was holding him back. Maybe it was the people who were with him right now. He felt so at ease with Jeongin and Hyunjin, almost mentally refusing to leave. Even though the fox boy's house didn't look really comfortable to be in, it still had a really cozy vibe to it.

He finally brought himself to go, he needed to. Now, the main thing he has to focus on is how his uncle is going to react and act with him. Judging by the text message, he sounded really mad.

The walk home was quiet and quite sad, maybe even depressing. All seungmin could think about was how is his uncle going to act. He was actually a little afraid of him and that's really bad. Once a child starts to be scared of one of their parents or just family members in general, it's only going to go downhill from there.

The brown haired boy saw lots of people on his way home. They all looked so happy, so full of joy. Their happiness was just radiating from their bodies. Even though it was winter, their happy faces and smiles would be able to melt even the hardest ice that ever existed on earth. This is exactly how seungmin wished his life to be. But not everyone is lucky enough. All he could do now was hope it will all get better in the end.

He even saw the park him and jeongin were in last night, all the memories hitting him like a sharp slap in the face. The bench they were sitting on was now occupied by some old lady who was looking at some pictures and she seemed to be sad, the boy could see one small sparkly tear run down her face. He was actually debating whether he should go up to her and ask her what's wrong, just for a good feeling and to make her smile, but he has different things to do now. For example, getting home as soon as possible. He can't risk anything now.

The moment is here.

Seungmin is now standing in front of his house, his hands shaking. They were shaking so much that if you put a plate in his hand and left him unsupervised for a few seconds, you would find the plate shattered on the floor to a million tiny pieces.

The tiny pieces would be a great reflection of how seungmin feels right now, or more precisely, how his heart looks like right now.

He had a feeling that everything is just shattering in front of his own eyes. A few minutes ago he was smiling and joking around with two truly amazing boys, and now he's standing here, scared to enter his own house, trying to hold his tears in.

It's crazy how everything can change in a minute.

The fear mixed with the sadness was a really unpleasant mix of emotions, but it was all taking too long. The brown haired boy, who was now looking like a scared puppy, decided it's gonna be for the best if he just goes for it. The sooner he opens the door the sooner it's going to end.

He reached for the cold doorknob, and with a quick twist, the door opened. Revealing an empty hallway, which made the whole situation even more scary. His hands weren't shaking as much as before, maybe because he realized the situation isn't that deep after all. His uncle is just gonna yell at him and maybe call him some names but that's all.
