Could it be?

No, it's not like that, Yang is a really common last name and seungmin can't assume anything, yet.

Firstly, he has to find out more things about jeongin's family and then he can assume things. But the thought about jeongin being Nicole's son really started to make sense in the brown haired boy's mind. They do look similar and they have the same last name.

Sadly, this doesn't prove anything. Seungmin needs to know more, but his fox friend doesn't really look like he wants to open up or tell him about his family.

The atmosphere is starting to become really awkward between the two boys. A while ago they were sitting and chatting like best friends, but now their expressions are plain, they have nothing to talk about and seungmin's mind is going crazy with all possible scenarios.

Could jeongin really be Nicole's son? or just related to her in general?

Seungmin wants to tell jeongin everything, his thoughts, his thoughts about the things he found in his attic, his family lore. Just everything.

But is it really worth it? They barely know each other and there's still a chance that everything is just a stupid coincidence. And you don't really want to tell a random stranger everything about yourself.

Seungmin needs to take things slowly and not rush anything. He'll start with asking innocent questions that can confirm his thoughts.

But he'll do that tomorrow, it's really late now. His eyes are closing, but he doesn't want to go to sleep just yet. He looks around the plain black living room and notices that his friend already fell asleep.

He's laying on the couch, kind of close to seungmin but not too close. He's sleeping so lightly that any small movement can cause him to wake up immediately. Seungmin looks at the fox boy's sleeping form, sighing to himself, not really knowing what to do.

But he has to admit one thing, jeongin looks quite cute while he's sleeping. Some strands of his hair fell to his face, causing seungmin to fight the urge to touch him and gently brush off the hair from his face.

The moonlight from outside was making jeongin look almost angelic. The light was perfectly highlighting the boy's fox-like facial features from all the good angles. His lips were slightly parted, making him look even cuter. Seungmin was tempted to touch him, to run his hands through the adorable boy's hair, but he decided to fight those urges and keep his hands to himself. It would be really awkward if he woke his friend up and he had to answer all the questions jeongin might have.

Seungmin's gaze continued running over the boy's sleeping form.

Watching the boy was so addicting, to the point seungmin had to turn his head away and focus on a nearby white wall. He can't act like this, but at the same time, he doesn't know what to do. Any further movement would cause jeongin to wake up.

He eventually gives in to his desires and gently places his hand on jeongin's soft black hair, running his fingers through it and gently playing with it, his touch feather-like.

"it's even softer than I thought..." seungmin mumbles to himself, hoping he didn't wake up his sleeping friend by it.

He doesn't even realize how close they are to each other right now, but he doesn't mind it at all.

With a small shift in seungmin's position, jeongin suddenly opens his eyes, witnessing the position they are in, feeling the light touch of seungmin's fingers in his hair.

Oh no...

Jeongin immediately gets up, with a suspicious look in his face, he asks

"What the fell was that?"

Seungmin freezes. What was he thinking? Is he really that dumb to think jeongin wouldn't wake up or even like that he's touching him without permission?

"I- uhh I'm sorry..." seungmin answers with a guilty look on his face, he looks like an idiot who can't control himself right now, hoping the other boy didn't notice his read ears

Jeongin just continued to stare at him, but his look wasn't exactly saying that he's opposed to the idea of his brown haired friend touching him, but sadly it wasn't saying he enjoyed that either.

Everything is just so confusing.

Both the boys didn't know what to do in this awkward situation, they were sitting way further apart from each other, not even wanting to look in the other's direction.

Seungmin was too embarrassed to even speak. He was just patiently waiting for his friend to say something that would finally solve the embarrassing moment they were in. But no words were coming out of jeongin's mouth.

After a few awkward stares, jeongin finally spoke up

"Let's just sleep in separate rooms for tonight"

Seungmin nodded, this was the best decision ever. He can finally get some sleep and hope the other boy is going to forget everything that happened and it's gonna be okay in the morning, as if nothing happened.

The brown haired boy didn't even ask jeongin where the guest room is, he just went to the first room he saw, and to his surprise it was a guest room.

It was empty, the walls were painted black and there was just a small bed. It looked like a prison cell. Seungmin is going to be surprised if he actually survives the night in this "mental asylum-looking" house.

The bed was so uncomfortable to lay in, but eventually after a few unsuccessful tries seungmin finally fell asleep.

Meanwhile jeongin wasn't planning on going to sleep at all. His mind was going crazy, still replaying the moment of seungmin touching him over and over again.

He was pacing around his room, wondering if seungmin is the same right know, not really knowing that his friend is already asleep trying to forget everything that happened.

Jeongin sat on the edge of his bed, trying to feel the moment again. Why did he have to act so mean? If he reacted normally, it would maybe turn into something more.

The fox boy just wanted to go over wherever seungmin is sleeping right now and just tell him everything that's on his mind right now, but he can't do that, at least not now.

Why did it feel so good..?
