The air in the dining room was thick with an awkward tension. Glances were exchanged between Benjamin and Alexine, and Mr. McConnel, who had heard their intimate moments just a few minutes ago, observed them with a mix of disapproval and irritation. The situation was uncomfortable, amplified by the fact that they had just made love, not just had sex. For Alexine, it was a new and unfamiliar experience; she had never been so close to a man before. Her only previous love was Frederich, who had been so different from Benjamin. If she had to imagine a relationship with Frederich, it would have been like this.

Sweet with the right amount of dirty.

Benjamin, on the other hand, was grappling with his own emotions. He was falling deeply for Alexine and was already hooked on the feel of her. The thought of enduring breakfast and the company of his father seemed unbearable. All he wanted was to escape the confines of the dining room, either by dragging Alexine away or by sending his father packing so he could have her all to himself.

The father, sensing the tension, decided to break the silence. "This is unacceptable. You were too loud," he said sternly.

Benjamin, still brimming with defiance and frustration, retorted, "I'm a man. I make my woman moan."

Alexine's face flushed with embarrassment as she closed her eyes, wishing she could disappear from the scrutiny of the father.

Benjamin dug into his breakfast with unrestrained ease, but the moment he caught his father's disapproving gaze, his head snapped up.

"What?" he snapped, his frown deepening. His father had never seen him so defiant. Benjamin remembered being a child—easily manipulated and timid. He was no longer that person.

"If you don't like what we're doing, your butler could always get you earplugs," Benjamin said, his tone dripping with arrogance as he continued to maneuver his fork towards his father.

Alexine wished she could disappear. She buried her face in her hands, trying to become invisible as if she didn't know Benjamin at all.

"This is unacceptable. Unacceptable!" The old man's voice trembled with indignation as he rose unsteadily from his chair, clutching his cane, and hobbled out of the room.

Alexine turned to Benjamin with a troubled expression. "This isn't right," she said firmly. "I need to apologize."

Benjamin's defenses flared. "You don't have to apologize for enjoying yourself," he snapped.

Ignoring him, Alexine gave him a gentle but firm smack on the back of the head before heading toward Benjamin's father.

"Slut.." Benjamin murmured bitterly at her slap on the head.

She found mr.Mcconnel looking at her with disdain as she approached.

"I'm so sorry," she began, her voice earnest. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble."
