The Nightmare Never Seem to End

After climbing numerous stairs, I walked across a catwalk, opened the door and was met with the familiar environment of the Game Station. I let out a breath of relief; I finally made it, and this nightmare is about to be over.

I walked up some steps and, on a catwalk. I looked to my right to see that the train is right there, with Morgan and the Mini-Huggies. A peaceful smile grew across my face at the thought of enjoying my life with them, now having to live in constant fear of this hellhole. I turned my head forward as I continued to walk on the catwalk, turning right, down some stairs and saw an entrance. When I was on level with the opened door, I looked inside to see Poppy stuck to the wall above a control station with both train codes.

I extended a hand to free her from that web, taking the codes with me. I was met with silence as I looked around the room, spotting two notes on opposite sides of the control station. "Did you kill her?" She asked, almost voided of any emotion. "Yes, and good fucking riddance, too." I said. "Good." She said with a curt nod. "Now board the train; we need to leave." She ordered before going through the vents.

I walked over to take a look at the note on the right.

-Formal Request Form-

Name: Dr. Matthew Wayson

Nature of Request: Windows in Game Station

Why: I don't know if you've ever spent weeks on end in a windowless, artificially lit room, but let me tell you something: it's far from pleasant. The Kids are getting rowdy too. You can just see it on their faces. I know there's not really a way to get natural light down here, but there's other ways, right? I'm thinking about fake windows, all around... Do that, and bam! There's some actual LIFE down here. I saw it on TV last week. This underground place had fake windows. Big lights behind glass. It makes the whole place feel sunlit. It's nice! You want everyone in the right headspace for these games, don't you? Do the right thing!

ADD WINDOWS!

The children here never got to see and feel actual sunlight? Now that's just sad. I set the piece of paper back down before going to the one on the left.

I can't believe this. They were actually studying the children? And for what? To turn them into toys?! I'm not surprise if they were willing to turn staff members into toys, so why not children, too? I can't believe I used to work here.

I tossed the piece of paper on the ground before walking out, my hatred for this place growing with every new thing I learn about what happened behind closed doors. I turned back around, pulling the levers with the GrabPack hands at the same time before continuing down the catwalk path, ending up at a slide.

At the bottom, I opened the yellow door and walked over to the train, on the other side, and extended the green hand to the scanner as I walked up the yellow stairs. "Hey, guys." I said once the door swung open. They turned around, surprised, and went to hug me, but that was quickly replaced with worry once they spotted the bloodstained shirt wrapped around my head that covered my left eye.

"Hey, hey, hey- it's alright! I'm fine. I'll be okay. One thing is for sure, you all don't have to worry about Mommy Longlegs anymore; she's gone and you all are now safe." I reassured, getting inside the train and sat on my legs, pulling them close for a group hug to comfort them. I gave them all head pats before I took off the GrabPack to put my jacket back on. "We're finally going home. You all will love it; to feel the wind in your fur, relax under the sun's rays and so much more. And all the candy you can eat!" I said, hyping the five of them up for the new world they'll experience as I put the GrabPack back on.

I went up to the consol to input the rest of the code. I changed the colors to red, yellow, red, blue. And I pressed the buttons in the number order: Mommy Longlegs, Catbee, Bunzo Bunny, and Kissy Missy. The buttons turned green as the ringtone for success played in the area. I pulled the lever to get the train to start moving, the headlight lighting up the way.

"Who wants to pull the horn?" I asked. Huggy Jr. walked up to me and I picked him up, holding him up to the cord for the train to make the toot sound as we head into the tunnel. I did the same for the others, Morgan also and they pulled the cord with their mouth, making me coo; they will always be adorable.

That's when Poppy spoke up. "I was so scared she would put me back in that case. But you saved me. You are perfect. Too perfect to lose." She said, starting to make me nervous as we came across a fork in the road, one went forward, back to the surface, and the other leading to somewhere deeper into the factory. The arrow pointing to the surface was blinking green, until it switched to the other, making my gut drop. "Heh, um... Poppy, very funny. You can stop now." I said in a nervous tone. "I'm sorry, I can't let you leave. I've never met anyone like you." She said with a giggle as the train went down the new path.

I tried to open the doors, but they wouldn't budge. "D'you know how long I've been stuck in that case? Well, too long... I had so much time to think and reflect. Time to figure out exactly what I would do when free. We'll set things right. Terrible things have happened, but I know that whatever I need you to do, you're capable." She stated. I picked up Morgan, who was starting to shake, the Mini-Huggies grabbing onto the hem of my jacket, feeling at unease.

"We will-" Poppy started, before getting interrupted by a beeping sound, like an alarm. "What?" She questioned, almost in a panicked tone before the feed was cutoff. The only sound that we could hear were the wheels of the train, but... they started to speed up. "Uh, Poppy!" I called out, but there was no answer. I set Morgan down as I tried to press buttons, change patterns, anything thing to stop the train. Fear was rising, the heavy feeling in my chest as the train traveled faster and faster.

That's when a blinking light went off, which made me realize there was a lever. I quickly pulled it, but the damn thing won't budge. I didn't give up and continued to pull the lever, and once it did, the tunnel echoed with the sound of the wheels screeching against the tracks.

The train started to wobble, and I quickly gathered Morgan and the Mini-Huggies together, shielding them from impact as the train tumbled over. I felt a pain in my head when it hit the wall. My vision was starting to waver, and just before I blacked out completely, the last thing I saw was a sign that said Playcare.
