GUN POV

---

Every morning, I arrive at the office precisely an hour before anyone else. I like to be here early, to feel the silence, to prepare for the arrival of the one person who makes every second worth living—Mr. Tay Tawan Vihokratana, our CEO. My Tay.

From the moment I stepped into this office three years ago, I knew my life had found its purpose. Tay was the epitome of success, a man whose charisma and power radiated through every corner of the building. He didn't notice me at first, just another face in the sea of employees. But that was okay. It gave me time to learn everything about him.

I learned that he likes his coffee black, no sugar. He prefers silence when he’s working, his concentration unbroken by the mundane chatter of the office. I learned the scent of his cologne, a subtle blend of cedarwood and amber, which I can identify even from across the room. His schedule became my schedule; his needs, my needs.

Being his secretary put me in the perfect position to be indispensable. I handled every detail of his life, from business meetings to personal appointments. I knew more about his habits than anyone else, even his closest associates. And I knew that deep down, he needed me as much as I needed him.

Sometimes, when he’s out of the office, I sit at his desk, running my fingers over the smooth leather chair, imagining what it would be like to be beside him, truly beside him.

Today, as Tay walked into the office, I could sense something was off. He was tense, his jaw set in that determined way that made my heart flutter. “Good morning, Mr. Tay,” I greeted him with my usual smile, handing him his coffee.

“Good morning, Gun,” he replied, barely glancing at me. He was distracted, lost in thought.

“Is there anything I can do for you?” I asked, hoping for a task that would allow me to spend more time in his presence.

He sighed, finally looking at me. “Just keep everything running smoothly today, Gun. I’ve got a lot on my mind.”

“Of course, sir,” I said, feeling a rush of excitement. He was relying on me, trusting me.

Throughout the day, I watched him, my heart aching with every weary look he gave his computer screen. He was under so much pressure, and it pained me to see him like this. During lunch, I took the liberty of ordering his favorite meal, ensuring it was delivered to his office with a note: "You need to take care of yourself, too. - G."

When he found the meal, he looked puzzled but appreciative. He didn’t ask who had sent it, but I knew he must have known. Who else would understand him so well?

As the day drew to a close, I lingered in the office, waiting for my moment. Tay was the last to leave, as always, and tonight I would make my move. As he stood to leave, I approached him.

“Tay,” I said softly, using his first name for the first time.

He looked at me, surprised. “Gun, is everything alright?”

I stepped closer, my heart pounding. “I just wanted you to know that I’m here for you. Always.”

His expression softened, and for a moment, I saw something in his eyes—was it gratitude? Understanding? “Thank you, Gun. I appreciate that.”

I watched as he walked away, a small smile playing on my lips. He didn’t know it yet, but he needed me. And I would be here, waiting, until he finally realized that we were meant to be together.
