Tay and New had been married for almost a year now. Tay was deeply in love with New, yet he struggled to express his feelings. He feared vulnerability, believing that showing too much affection would make him appear weak.
New, on the other hand, was left confused and heartbroken. He often felt neglected and unloved, misinterpreting Tay's reserved nature as indifference. He longed for a simple gesture of love, a sign that Tay cared.
Their relationship was a paradox of love and misunderstanding, with Tay's unspoken affection creating a chasm that only honest communication could bridge.
Tay hadn't been home for three days. He was caught up in a whirlwind of work and commitments, all the while missing New and thinking about how he could better express his love. He didn't realize that New had fallen ill, and each passing hour without Tay's presence made New feel more abandoned.
"He's extremely weak," the doctor said. "His fever has been high for days, and his body is severely dehydrated. He needs rest and proper care immediately."
Nunew and Zee exchanged worried glances.
Zee paced the hospital hallway, anxious and worried about New. He had only recently met New through Nunew, and seeing New in such a dire condition was heart-wrenching. But there was another mystery gnawing at him: who was New’s husband, the person who had been absent during this critical time?
Determined to find out, Zee made a few discreet inquiries. He had connections, both personal and professional, that allowed him to uncover information quickly. After a few phone calls and a bit of digging, he was stunned to discover that New’s husband was none other than his friend and business partner, Tay. Tay, who had never mentioned being married.
Zee's shock quickly turned into a mix of anger and confusion. How could Tay keep such an important part of his life hidden? And how could he neglect his husband to the point where New ended up in the hospital?
On the other hand..........
Tay's heart raced as he pulled up to the house. The sight of the broken door sent a wave of panic through him. He rushed inside, calling out for New, but the house was eerily silent. His mind raced with worst-case scenarios. Where could New be? What had happened?
Tay sat in his car, hands trembling as he tried to process the chaotic scene he had returned to. The broken door and the empty house haunted him. He had searched every room, called out New's name until his voice was hoarse, and checked his phone repeatedly, hoping for any sign or message from his husband. But there was nothing.
After what felt like an eternity, Tay sank to the floor, his head in his hands. The weight of his neglect and the fear of losing New crushed him. He felt utterly helpless, tears streaming down his face as he tried to figure out where New could be. Guilt and worry gnawed at him, making it hard to breathe.
An hour later, his phone rang, the sound startling him from his despair. With shaking hands, he answered, barely able to speak.
“Tay?” It was Zee’s voice on the other end, tense and urgent.
“Zee, what’s happening? ” Tay managed to choke out.
“Tay, calm down. New’s in the hospital. He collapsed. Nunew and I found him and got him here. He’s being treated now.”
Relief and fear mingled in Tay’s chest. “Which hospital? I’m coming right now.”
Zee quickly provided the details, and Tay bolted from his house, driving as fast as he could to the hospital. Every minute felt like an eternity, his mind filled with images of New lying helpless and weak.
When he arrived at the hospital, he rushed to the front desk, asking for New’s room. He found Zee and Nunew waiting outside, their faces etched with
Tay arrived at the hospital, his face a mask of guilt and worry. Zee watched as Tay rushed to New's room, a whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him. He decided to confront Tay, but he would wait until Tay had a moment to see New.
A few minutes later, Tay emerged from New’s room, his eyes red from crying. Zee approached him, his expression stern.
"Tay," he said, his voice controlled but intense. "We need to talk."
Tay looked up, surprised to see Zee. "Zee, I didn’t know you were here. I—"
Zee cut him off. "Why didn’t you tell me about your marriage? About New? How could you let this happen?"
Tay sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I thought I was protecting him by not mixing my personal life with business. But I see now how wrong I was. I love New more than anything, but I’ve been terrible at showing it. And now he's paying the price for my mistakes."
Zee's anger softened as he saw the genuine remorse in Tay’s eyes. "Tay, you need to fix this. New needs you, and he needs to know you love him. This can’t happen again."
"I know," Tay replied, his voice breaking. "I’m going to make things right. I promise."
Zee nodded, placing a hand on Tay’s shoulder. "We’re here for you, Tay. For both of you. Just don’t keep us in the dark again."
Tay nodded, grateful for Zee’s support. Together, they re-entered New’s room, ready to support him through his recovery and determined to rebuild the trust and love that had been strained by Tay’s silence.
“Tay,” Zee said, approaching him. “He’s stable now, but he was in bad shape. The doctor said he needs rest and care.”
Tay nodded, his throat tight with emotion. “Thank you for being there for him,” he said, his voice breaking. “I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t found him.”
Zee placed a reassuring hand on Tay’s shoulder. “You need to see him. He needs to know you’re here.”
Tay took a deep breath and entered New’s room. Seeing New so frail and vulnerable broke his heart.
Tay approached the bed and gently took New's hand. "'m so sorry, New," he whispered, tears welling up in his eyes. "I should have been here. I should have shown you how much I love you.
“New, I’m here,” he whispered, his voice filled with regret and love. “I’m so sorry. I should have been there. I promise, I’ll never let you feel alone again.”
"I'm here, love. And 1'm not going anywhere, Tay promised, pressing a kiss to New's hand. "I love you, and I'm going to make sure you never doubt that again.
