Masuragi stood in front of the Hokage and the entire council with a nervous look. All of her senseis were here right along with the evil ass civilian council. Kakashi clears his throat, "Masuragi Hyuuga." He says lowly. Masuragi straightens up as Kakashi stood up, "As you know, you were the only genin that we sent to the Chunnin Exams... and that was because we knew you would do the Leaf Village proud, and that's just what you accomplished." He says with an eye smile.
Masuragi's eyes widened, "For you outstanding performance in the exams by showing not only amazing strategy, fluidity in your styles, mastery of three elements, and fighting a partial jinchuriki to a stand still, it is my honor to promote you straight to Tokubetsu Jōnin." Hearing the gasps all around the room meant that not only Masuragi was surprised by this promotion.
One of the council women stood up, "You are promoting this... this half-bred to Jonin?!! Are you mad, Kakashi?!" A lot of the councilmen and women had the same thoughts while Masuragi was stuck in disbelief. Her Hokage really had that much faith in her to promote her to Jonin, just like that. Kakashi ignored the civilian council and unsealed a dark green jacket.
Masuragi's senseis started to tear up with they saw Masuragi gently grab her jacket, almost as if it would break, "Make me proud, Masu. You will get missions starting in a week, dismissed." Masuragi slowly nods, "H-Hai, Hokage-sama." She stutters softly before bowing and disappearing in a shunshin.
Needless to say, her best friends were extremely proud of her and vowed to follow in her footsteps when the next chunnin exams made its way around.
Katsujima holds her Jonin jacket tightly, "Did Masuragi get promoted to Jonin too?" She asks her red haired father. Gaara nods, "She did. Kakashi-dono and I have talked." Katsujima smirks slightly, "Good. The next time we fight, will be in the Jonin Exams. She better keep up." She says before walking off, getting concerned looks from her father's.
