"What are you talking about, Oscar?"
"I saw a text from Clearance on your phone. Are you cheating on me?
Nolan stopped dead in his tracks. "Of course not, and why are you looking at my phone? I don't do that. I trust you, Oscar. I refuse to have a misunderstanding, but if we have to break up, then I'll be hurt but I'll be okay."
"Whoa, Nolan. I don't want to break up with you. I want to know what's going on. It's almost like things have changed between us since we got engaged."
"I agree."
"What?"
"Oscar, listen to me. I didn't know how to talk to you about my feelings, so I went to Clearance for advice. Please, believe me, Oscar. I'd never cheat on you. I love you too much for that."
Oscar took Nolan's hand and kissed it. "I believe you, Nolan. So what do you want to do? Do you want to break off the engagement?"
"No, I don't. I want to be engaged to you, Oscar. Can we maybe not rush into a wedding and enjoy being engaged?"
Oscar smiled and laughed. "I think that's a good idea," Oscar kissed Nolan. "But, next time you don't have to go to your ex, you can come to me or your friends, you know."
"I know and I'll do better next time."
