Nolan had called Oscar and told him he needed space and maybe they should take a break for a while.

"How did Oscar take it when you told him you thought you two needed a break?"

"He wasn't happy about it, but he said he would respect my needs and that if I needed him, to call him."

"Of course, he did. "

"What's that supposed to be?" Nolan asked giving his friend a look.

"I get that you and Oscar disagree, but sometimes I get the feeling sometimes Oscar is afraid to say what he's thinking."

Nolan agreed. "Honestly? I think it stems from his parents kicking him out when he came out to them.

"I'll never understand how anyone can do that to their own child. I was lucky and had a great family.

"Ah, yes. Just a crazy family you had, but you know I always enjoyed those family dinners your mom would put together."

Trisha laughed. "All her kids have moved out and it's just her and dad now. I think she's lonely, but of course, she'd never admit it.

"Maybe we should visit her this week."

"You know, that's not a bad idea. I'd say surprise her, but I'm worried that may not go over well," Trisha replied.

Later while Oscar was napping, Trisha called her mom and told her mom they were coming to visit.

The week went by and Nolan was excited to see Trisha's mom. "Hello, Miss Meadows."

"Tisk. Tisk, you call me, Julie," Mrs. Meadows shook her head.

"It smells delicious in here," Trisha yelled.

Mrs. Meadows ran over to her daughter. "My agent daughter is home. Have I told you how proud I am of you?"

"Mom," Trisha blushed.

"And how's my grandaughter doing?" Mrs. Meadows smiled.

"I think she's going to arrive any day now," Trisha smiled.
