THIRD PERSON POV

at the Sim Corp. Headquarters;

"sir sim, mr. park has come to visit you." jaeyun's secretary informed him

"yeah, let him in." jaeyun glanced at his secretary as he nodded in response.

"hey, man." jaeyun greeted his best friend with a grin as sunghoon smiled back at him.

"hey jake, not busy, are you?" sunghoon asked him.

"nah, do you have something to say?" jake asked, confused.

"kind of, yeah. it's um... about your sister." sunghoon informed his best friend before taking a seat opposite to him and rolling up his sleeves.

"aera? what about her?" to say that jake was confused would be an understatement, as he knew that his sister and his best friend weren't anything more than family acquaintances.

"i'll cut to the chase. my family, especially my mom wants me to get married to her." sunghoon let out a sigh glancing at jaeyun to see his reaction.

"wow... well, i don't know how to tell you this but um... my parents were also talking to me about them wanting to marry aera with you, for like the past seven months." jaeyun laughed awkwardly.

"wow, jaeyun. more than half a year and you didn't bother to tell me anything?" sunghoon glared at his best friend.

"okay okay, now don't start ignoring me like you did the time i stole your cotton candy when we were ten and you decided to not talk to me for two days straight." jaeyun huffed remembering the memory.

"oh shut up jaeyun. also, the main reason i came here to talk to you about this whole... marriage thing is to take your opinion. you're her elder brother after all." sunghoon looked at jaeyun seriously as he waited for his response.

"honestly? i don't mind. it's somewhat unexpected since i was always pretty protective of aera while growing up. i still remember that one time she told me that she had a crush on this boy that asked her about what colours she likes the most, and i almost went to find that boy; mind you though, she was only nine." jaeyun laughed lightly before continuing his words, "anyways, as i was saying, you're like my brother. so i trust you and i know that you won't pull any nonsense. plus, you're good looking and have a somewhat good heart, though you're kind of boring, therefore i don't have any objections or anything of that sort. but you'll definitely have to treat my sister well, otherwise i'm afraid i might have to kill you, mate." jaeyun looked at sunghoon with a soft smile.

"you won't have to worry about that. also, i'm not boring, jake." sunghoon glared at his best friend.
