THIRD PERSON POV
after a total of four hours had passed, the wedding after-party had come to an end. the newlywed couple bid goodbyes to their families, friends and business partners, a sentimental feeling growing in both of their hearts.
they walked towards sunghoon's private car as he opened the door for her. aera took her flowy gown into her hands, an attempt to enter inside the car easily. once she successfully did so, sunghoon closed the door and went to the other side before sitting on the driver seat.
as he carefully got out of the driveway, aera's eyes landed on the prominent veins adorning his arms. her face flushed as various scenarios made their way onto her mind, each one turning her cheeks a shade brighter.
at an attempt to distract herself and not get caught ogling her husband, aera turned her head, pretending to look outside the window.
however, as sunghoon noticed that she had been leaning her head against the car window for a good while now, a feeling of dread and worry settled onto his stomach.
"are you okay? what happened?" sunghoon asked trying to take a quick look at her face, currently of which only her hair was visible.
"i'm fine, nothing happened." aera muttered, refusing to look at him.
"aera, look at me." no response.
sunghoon slowed down the car to a stop at the roadside, as he extended his hand towards her face and gripped her jaw gently, forcing her to look at him.
just as his eyes landed on her flushed cheeks, his mouth curled into a sly smirk.
"blushing, aren't we?" he teased.
"no i'm not. now shut up and drive." aera grumbled, annoyed before he retracted his hand from her jaw, with a hint of a smile on his face and began to resume the drive towards their new house.
after a ten minute drive, the couple arrived at their triplex penthouse, which sunghoon had recently bought for the both of them. the luxurious skyscraper, furnished with modern elegance was situated in a rather secluded area, a few kilometres away from his company headquarters.
as soon as they entered inside, a few butlers and some maids greeted them respectfully, a big welcoming smile on all of their faces.
however, someone in particular caught aera's eyes. a woman who looked like she was in her late sixties, her partially gray hair tied into a bun, as her beaming face held a motherly smile.
"oh hello, my dear! i'm jungha, the head maid." the sweet elderly lady introduced herself as she bowed at me.
"she's more like my grandmother." sunghoon chuckled.
"hello! i'm aera, can i call you grandma jungha?" aera asked politely, her face holding a big smile.
"of course." mrs.jungha smiled warmly at aera.
