THIRD PERSON POV

at the Penthouse;

along the previous three days, from holding aera close to keeping her under his eyes all the time, sunghoon didn't dare miss a single opportunity of spoiling his distressed wife with so much care, that left her in great gratitude, and a soft, warm feeling bubbling inside her heart.

she had gotten a lot better than she was three days ago, since her cramps had pretty much subsided along the way. though she was experiencing some, they were occasional and fortunately, didn't leave her wanting to pull her hair off her scalp.

sunghoon was working in his home office, an action he had decided to implement for aera's menstruation week. knowing his wife, he was sure that she would definitely throw away her body's all needs for rest once she would get a bit better, and he didn't consider his maids as mighty to be able to handle his wife's shenanigans by themselves.

after freshening up, aera walked to sunghoon's home office, planning to greet him and mainly, tell him how grateful she truly was for him and his generous efforts.

she knocked on the door twice, and entered once she heard a firm "come in." from the other side.

sunghoon was startled once he noticed that instead of a maid, who he assumed was outside, his wife was standing there, a wide smile plastered on her face.

without a word, aera crossed the space and made her way towards her husband before wrapping her arms around his neck, engulfing him in a back-hug.

"hi, hoon! i just wanted to thank you for taking so much care of me these past few days. i can be quite a handful during these times, or in general too maybe, so i'm really grateful for all your efforts. i mean it." she said laughing sheepishly.

"you don't have to thank me, sweetheart. it's my responsibility to make sure you're well cared for, always." sunghoon affirmed softly.

"aww, you're still using those sweet nicknames for me? i honestly thought it was a one-time thing only." aera teased, wiggling her eyebrows at him.

"well, are you complaining, baby?" sunghoon asked her playfully, a small smile tugging at his lips.

"oh, of course not!" aera squealed with a smile, wrapping her arms around him a bit tighter than before.

"that's better." sunghoon smiled before resuming his work.

a while later, as aera retracted her arms from around his neck and began to walk out the door, sunghoon's gentle voice caught her attention.

"you know, i thought i could keep myself away from you, to put up some kind of distance between us. thought it would ruin me, not having control over my emotions, as it has always. but i realized just how much i'll gladly ask you to ruin me. it's a blessing, to be able get tainted by your love, angel."
