at the Park Mansion;
SUNGHOON'S POV
as i stepped inside the house, my mom almost hit me, had we not been in public.
"where were you?! didn't i tell you to come home early today?" my mom whisper shouted at me, exasperated.
"mom, i told you, it wasn't intentional. the client was someone particularly important, and i lost track of time during the meeting, i'm sorry." i explained hoping she would understand.
"whatever, boy. i don't want aera to leave you before you even get engaged to her. get ready quickly." my mom glared at me before going back to the living area in front of the garden, where the guests were probably seated.
not wanting to give my mom a heart attack, i quickly went upto my room, took a shower and started getting ready. i put on a light blue coloured shirt, folding the long sleeves till my elbows, and paired it with light brown pants. i wore a silver chain bracelet around my wrist and sprayed some cologne before heading downstairs.
all the families had already arrived, the boys gesturing me to join their conversation.
i walked over to them and sat between jaeyun and sunoo as i realized the topic of their discussion was whether people had one or two butts. for god's sake.
"oh come on! people only have one butt. the two buttocks move in a co-ordinated way. one buttock doesn't go left while the other flies away!" jongseong almost screamed.
"yeah, i think that too." heeseung nodded his head.
"but listen, they are two copies of one thing, you know, like this?" jaeyun started to hold out his two palms, which i assumed was to resemble one buttock each before sunoo and riki started laughing like maniacs freshly escaped from a mental hospital.
"can you guys stop talking about butts? it's getting disgusting and i feel like vomiting." jungwon scowled.
"i'm with jungwon on this one." i said already tired.
as i was about to add onto my statement, aera's and my parents stood up, as my mom spoke, "guys, a lot of you asked us the reason we suddenly arranged a family dinner. but we said that it was a surprise, right? now, we'll announce the grand cause!"
the living hall erupted into cheers before aera's dad finally announced it, "sunghoon and aera are getting married!"
suddenly, complete silence appeared, as many gasps were heard and everyone glanced at each other before grins marked the faces of the people present.
"really?!" jeemin's mom spoke with a hand over her mouth, smiling.
"see! i told you they were going to get married." jungwon's dad said with a proud grin.
