The Indigo League Dragon Tamer's Wild child

Chapter 5

Seriously!? Ash thought as he ran through the underbrush hearing nimble footsteps chasing after him from the forest floor and above him in the foliage. "Come on Oakly I want to see why Jessie and James are so interested in this kid." A voice said as they chased Ash from up in the trees. " Annie, Jessie, and James are incompetent so I want to see how much of a fight this child can put up." The other voice Ash guessed was Annie said not far behind him on the forest floor.

Of course, they're Team Rocket. Ash thought sarcastically as he ran.  Ash ran for a long while, but all good things must end even running paths because the forest gave way to a cliffside with nowhere else to run... "Espeon use Psybeam!" A woman called as she flipped out of a tree Ash ducked out of the way just before the move hit. Pikachu jumped from his shoulder and got ready to attack. "Ariados use Night Shade!" Another woman said as she walked out of the forest and yet again Ash barely moved out of the way. "What Pokemon are those?" Ash mumbled as he took out his Pokedex.

"Espeon the Sun Pokemon a physcic type and an evolved form of Eevee, by reading air currents Espeon can predict things such as the weather or its foe's next move." The electronic voice stated showing a picture of the woman's Pokemon that was in the trees.                                                    

"Ariados the Long Leg Pokemon a Bug Poison type and the evolved form of Spinarak, Ariados spins string not only from its rear but also from its mouth. It's hard to tell which end is which." The electronic voice stated before showing a picture of the Pokemon that the woman who followed Ash on the forest floor. 

"Pikachu use Thunder on Ariados and then use Quick Attack on Espeon!" Ash called out and Pikachu followed the directions. Pikachu used Thunder on Ariados before using Quick attack on Espeon the two Pokemon were still standing after all that. "Espeon use Shadow Ball!"  Annie called out. "Ariados use Pin Missle!" Oakley called out.  "Pikachu dodge the Pin missle and send the Shadow Ball right back with a Volt Tackle!!" Ash called out. "Pika Pika Chapi!" Pikachu cried as he called out as he dodged the Pin Missle for the most part and sent the shawdow ball back.     Pikachu limped as he stood in the center of the battlefield covered in scratches likewise with Espeon and Ariados. "let's Finish this buddy. Pikachu use Thunder Bolt!!" Ash yelled as he threw his fist in the air. "Pika Chuuu!!" Pikachu cried as he shocked Annie, Oakley, and their Pokemon blasting them away in a similar fashion to how Jessie, James, and Mewoth blast off. 

Ash after taking a second to breathe rushes over and grabs Pikachu. "You did good bud, let's get you to a Pokemon Center," Ash said as he held Pikachu and began walking to the nearest town that they had passed a little ways back. Ash walked for about twenty minutes before he came across the town and saw the sign that said. "Welcome to Violet City."  Ash dashed down the road to the Pokemon Center he saw in the distance.

"Nurse Joy please help Pikachu he got hurt pretty badly." Ash rushed out once he was at the front desk. "Of course. If you Don't mind me asking what happened to your Pikachu." Nurse Joy said as she called over her Chancey who brought a stretcher. " We got into a battle with two Pokemon at the same time and we couldn't get away," Ash said and Nurse Joy nodded before taking Pikachu to the back. Ash stood at the front desk for a bit but he did walk to the sitting area where other trainers were swapping news about the upcoming Silver Conference and their strategies for it.

Ash sat off to the side looking through his backpack at the supplies he and Pikachu have. We need some more berries and water, and we need to find a river to wash my clothes in. Ash thought to himself as he zipped up his bag. The other trainers were talking while Ash was sitting there trying not to stand out because he didn't want to talk to anyone because he wasn't quite sure what he would say.  Ash was in the Pokemon center for about an hour before Nurse Joy returned. 

"Your Pikachu is just fine. You can come to pick him up in the morning because I would like to monitor him for the night." Nurse Joy told Ash who nodded and thanked her. Ash left the Pokemon Center after seeing Pikachu and went to the woods around the town and set up camp. The daylight was fading but Ash still went out foraging which led to him scaling trees grabbing berries and putting them in his backpack. Ash saw a multitude of Pokemon big and small the Likes of which he'd never seen before and ones he had seen. He smiled as he jumped to the next tree because this reminded him of the first night of his journey seeing all new things even if certain things were familiar from seeing them from afar.  Once he was done grabbing the berries he went back to his campsite and roasted some for dinner before eating them.

He watched the stars before going to sleep for the night. The Next morning he went to the Pokemon Center after packing up his campsite to see a wide-awake Pikachu being rolled out on a stretcher. When he got closer Pikachu launched himself off the stretcher onto his shoulder rubbing himself all over Ash's head much like a Glameow scent marking its territory.  "I'm glad you're back buddy I hope you feel better," Ash said as he scratched Pikachu's head. "Cha Cha," Pikachu replied as he got comfortable on Ash's shoulder he always travels on. 

"He's up and has been pretty much bouncing off the walls since early this morning even after breakfast. He's been waiting for you to be able to get him and when you were officially able to come get him I thought he was going to shock Chansey in excitement." Nurse Joy said as she walked over to the traveling duo and patted her Chansey's head. "Thank you so much, Nurse Joy!" Ash called out as he was heading toward the door. "No problem, now you two be careful!" Nurse Joy called out as she waved. "We will don't worry about us!" Ash said as he waved and left the Pokemon center. 

The pair were walking through the forest around the town and for once actually had a destination in mind. Ash and Pikachu plan to head toward Ilex Forest to check out the diverse Pokemon species that live there also because they haven't been anywhere near there yet. They were taking a rest stop near a river that they had found and Ash was washing his clothes while Pikachu was curled up on a rock soaking up the sun. Neither was paying that much attention but when they heard a loud snap come from just behind them in the bushes the both of them leaped to their feet and got ready to face whatever was in the underbrush.

Hey there I hope you enjoyed the new part and sorry if it was a bit boring in the middle but we have our first appearance of Annie and Oakley. Yeah, they are sticking around because I thought they were really cool in the Pokemon Heroes movie even though I cry every time I watch it. This is going to be a three-parter week because I have plans that require me to get to at least chapter seven on both of my active stories. I can't say anything else so I hope you have a good rest of your day and week and see you next week.-K
