Lance's POV
I'm finally taking Ash home that still feels surreal but here we are cruising among the clouds and I watched Ash's eyes light up in excitement when he saw where we were. I knew my Pokemon would love Ash but I didn't expect Dragonite to squeeze my child into a hug. I tried to tell Dragonite it might have been too much since he just got out of the hospital but Dragonite did not listen and Ash just hugged him encouraging Dragonite to hug back harder. I swear this child has no self-perseveration sometimes. If that was Dragonite's reaction I can't wait to introduce Ash to the rest of my Pokemon even Hydreigon who can be a bit temperamental sometimes.
"That's the way to Blackthorn City where Clair lives," I said as I pointed toward Blackthorn and Ash nodded. "What does Aunt Claire do again?" Ash said as he continued to watch the clouds I nearly lost my balance when he said that but I smiled. "She's the dragon-type gym leader. She's often the last gym leader challenges face in the gym season but there is no predetermined order much like in Kanto as to the gyms. " I answered and he looked back at me with his mouth hanging open. "Wow, you both use dragon types." He said after a moment probably recovering from shock I guess. "Yeah, we do my best guess as to why we do is we were raised around dragon Pokemon in Blackthorn. I was given a Dratini for my first Pokemon while Claire was given a Horsea for her first Pokemon." I answered and Ash nodded.
Ash and Pikachu were looking around while we were flying and I looked at Dragonite who looked happy and he sped up... in a nose dive. "AHHHH!" Ash yelled as I saw him grab Pikachu, going straight off his shoulders upwards. I threw my arm over him and Pikachu since BOTH of them were flying off to keep them firmly planted on Dragonite. "Dragonite Slow down!!" I yelled trying to get Dragonite to hear me above the roaring wind. He either didn't hear me or ignored me both of which were likely because I don't know what made Dragonite suddenly do this but it's probably not something good.
The next thing I knew Dragonite evened himself out again suddenly and I felt the water spray hit me head-on. I opened my eyes to see us zipping behind the water of Tohjo Falls and I looked down at Ash whose eyes were wide in wonder and I looked at Dragonite who was wearing a proud expression and I breathed a sigh of relief. "If you wanted to show us the falls you could have slowed down a bit. I thought we were being chased or something. " I said as we continued on behind the waterfall and Dragonite just huffed as Ash laughed.
When we had traveled the length behind the waterfall we went back up into the sky much slower this time much to my relief. It was only a minute or two before I saw the silhouette of my house come into view and I looked at Ash and Pikachu's eyes light up with big smiles on their faces and I felt a smile of my own appear.
We landed not far from the house and I helped Ash get down from the back of Dragonite and I tucked him into my side as we started walking toward the house. Ash's eyes were wide with wonder and when I opened the door he walked in looking excited but nervous. "It's alright it's your house too," I said and he looked at me like he didn't quite believe me making me want to hurt everyone that caused this look to appear on his face.
"Let's give you a tour," I said and Ash perked up. "This is the living room and you can come here anytime. The blankets and extra pillows are in this closet if you ever need one just grab some. The remote is always in this drawer." I said as I showed him the coffee table drawer where I keep the remote along with a few other items I keep for the living room in the drawer and Ash nodded along with Pikachu. "Now this room is traditionally called the Withdrawing room but I call it the sunroom because it's basically all windows and it's not recommended you stay here that long in the heat of the Summer it's not a good idea. I learned that the hard way the first Summer I lived here. You are also welcome in here any time you like." I said as I showed Ash the Sunroom and he nodded as he walked around the room looking around the room in fascination.
