ONESHOT: TEA PARTY

Cruel King waited for [READER] to visit him once more, his fingertips tapping against the armrest of his throne and having a BORED expression on his face. It had been days. About five to be exact. Although Cruel King should have expected [READER] to be gone from an adventure for a while. They did have other quests to do.

"Where are they..."

The king muttered, letting out a small sigh. He could summon a Loyal Knight or a Crossbow Crony, but conversations with them were repetitive and dry. They weren't real in this realm. Cruel King stared at the place where Guru's area thingy would materialize into existence, hoping [READER] would finally come back soon.

[READER] practically spin dashed all the way to the airport, not taking a single break. They had just escaped the pit after almost dying to a...certain floor that was basically hell. They collapsed on the floor when they entered the building Guru was in, huffing and puffing loudly. Guru barely looked over to [READER], continuing his meditating or whatever the hell that old man does. [READER] caught their breath after a while, getting up and trotting over to Guru. They sat down next to Guru and spoke with the old man for a moment, saying they felt cold.

Cruel King was about to fall asleep, struggling to stay awake in case [READER] came back. He rubbed his eyes, then yawned tiredly. He tried sitting up more in his throne, looking over to where Guru would be if someone were to visit him. Nothing so far- wait...Cruel King sat up, watching as Guru's area materialized into existence. [READER] was finally here.

"[READER]? You've finally arrived..."

[READER] got up from the carpet Guru sits on, padding to the king and stopping in front of him. [READER] then asked Cruel King a question.

"...?"

"A tea party? You want a tea party with me? The next time you visit?"

[READER] nodded, confirming Cruel King's words. Cruel King was surprised at the sudden request for a tea party, taking a moment to think about it. His sharp gaze on [READER] softened as he made his decision.

"I accept your request."

[READER] had bought a concerning amount of tea from TeaTime, although Auko didn't mind since he was making a lot of tix from them. [READER] then had to spin dash through the whole rainforest without getting jumped by the animals.

Cruel King patiently waited for [READER] to arrive, then sitting up straight more as he saw Guru's area thingy appear. [READER] bounded to the king, stopping right in front of his throne and taking off their backpack.

"What are you-"

[READER] would proceed to take out a whole picnic blanket out of their backpack and drape it over the floor, sitting down on it. They started rummaging through their backpack, taking out the tea they had bought. Cruel King decided not to question how the tea didn't spill inside of [READER'S] backpack. [READER] handed Cruel King a cup of tea, the king taking it and sitting back in his throne.

"[READER], why did you decide to have a tea party with me?"

Cruel King questioned, taking a small sip of his tea. It was still warm somehow. [READER] told Cruel King why they wanted a tea party. Cruel King listened to [READER] talk, nodding to whatever they had to say and drinking the tea.

"...!"

"You fought those things? Well I'm glad you made it out alive."

"...!!!"

Cruel King smiled in amusement as [READER] continued yapping about whatever they did in the real world, enjoying the taste of the tea and [READER'S] company.

"I'm glad I met them." Cruel King thought to himself, finishing his cup of tea and setting it down on his armrest.
