I sighed as I was walking back from Lucifer's mansion with hot tears streaming down my face. He broke up with me as he confessed his love to Lilith and my heart was heavy from that.
Flashback
"Listen (Y/n), this can never work between us. I realized that we are too different from each other and I do appreciate your company very much."
My eyes watered as Lucifer said that. "Is there another woman?" Lucifer sighed as he nodded. "For some time now, I've been seeing Lilith and we love each other. I know you are very upset by this and I wish this didn't happen this way of telling you. However, I can't keep it a secret anymore. I love her, (Y/n). We can still be friends, right?"
I swallowed the lump in my throat and nodded. "Fine. That's alright with me as long as you are happy. So I'll be out of your hair and enjoy your life together." Lucifer ran his fingers through my hair before I pulled away and saw Lilith smiling at me as I was about to leave. As much as I wanted to claw her eyeballs out, I didn't want to cause any more trouble for Lucifer. The last thing I said to Lucifer as he stared at me with sadness. "Have fun with her, Lucifer." I know he said something else, but I slammed the door shut behind me as I started to walk away from his mansion.
Flashback End
I opened my apartment door and walked inside with my heart aching from that moment. My fist curled up as my eyes were stinging from my tears and I punched a wall. "Fucking shit!" I took a breath as I pressed my body against the door, crying my eyes out.
A couple years later
I was working at the Hazbin Hotel and saw Charlie and Vaggie talking to one another about the lack of guests. I sat down after sweeping up the floor and Alastor was smiling beside me. "So how are you liking to work for Charlie Morningstar, my dear?" I looked up at Alastor and shrugged. "I don't mind. If you are implying that I feel awkward working for her, I don't. It was a long time ago, Alastor."
"Mmm...I seem to recall you singing a song earlier that sounded like you want to see someone?" My cheeks reddened and I got up. "And the conversation is over. If you need me, I will be upstairs away from you." I was about to head upstairs and I overheard Vaggie talking to Charlie. "Charlie we need help. Maybe your father can help us?" I stopped in my tracks as I overheard that. "Oh I think he might be busy, Vaggie. I don't know about that." I went over to them and Vaggie smiled at me. "Come on (Y/n)! You agree we need help with the hotel, right?" I looked at Charlie and she smiled with care.
"Yes I do agree with that." Vaggie got excited for once and Charlie grabbed her phone to call Lucifer. I walked away with my heart pounding like crazy and I stared outside of the hotel window with worry.
1 hour later
I was pacing back and forth about this and Charlie came beside me. "Hi (Y/n). Are you alright?" I looked at her with surprised eyes. "Yes! I'm just getting my steps in." Charlie looked at me with concern. "(Y/n), I know you and my dad had a relationship a while back. He is single the last time I checked. Maybe you two can make amends." Alastor came up and said "I suggest some entertainment for tonight, my dear. That will be interesting to hear (Y/n) sing."
I called Alastor a bastard and a son of a bitch under my breath in my native tongue. Charlie got excited and said, "Ooh! Yes! I have heard you sing before (Y/n)! That would be nice for my dad!" I groaned as the door knocked at the front of the hotel. "He's here!", Charlie got excited and opened the door. "Charlie! My sweet girl!", Lucifer hugged her with a great amount of strength. He may be short, but he is very powerful. I walked over to the others and they noticed right away how I felt about Lucifer. "Uh (Y/n) you feeling alright?", Angel Dust asked as I kept my head between my legs. "Uh huh..."
Lucifer smiled at the design of the hotel and looked around until his eyes landed where Angel Dust, Sir Pentious, and Husk was sitting. "Hello gentlemen! And what a minute who is that under there?" My heart was about to leap out of my chest as I sat back up. "Hello Lucifer, " my voice cracked as he came closer to me. "(Y/n)?! Is that you? Holy shit! You look great!" He came beside me and hugged me as my eyes widened. "You look great too..." Lucifer pulled away as Charlie wanted to show him the entire hotel. "I'll see you around, (Y/n)." I nodded as he walked away and my eyes were leaking with tears.
Vaggie noticed it right away as Charlie and Lucifer were out of sight. "(Y/n), you don't need to sing tonight if you don't want to." I looked up as I wiped away my tears. "No...I want to do it. A) Because I still love him and B) Alastor will never shut up about it." Vaggie smiled as she hugged me and went after Charlie and Lucifer. I got up and went to go get dressed.

I stood in front of the mirror with the dress I wore the first time I met Lucifer. I walked over to the door and Vaggie and Charlie were standing outside. "Holy moly! You look great, (Y/n)! Come on, my dad and everyone is excited to hear you sing." I smiled as I walked to the front of the lobby where there was a curtain and a stage. I peeked from the curtain and saw Lucifer with a smile on his face. "Alright ladies and gents, here is (Y/n)!", Charlie announced to everybody and I saw the curtain opening. I went up to the microphone and said, "Before I begin, this song is dedicated to the one I loved for many years even after we departed from each other. I love you so much..."

I looked around as Charlie and Vaggie held onto each other and I saw Lucifer smiling at me with love. My tears were beginning to fall from my cheeks for the hundredth time.

The curtains closed as I finished and I walked out of the room with my head low and went to the balcony. I heard the applause from my friends and I looked up at the evening sky.
