-keefe-

I dropped my phone onto the carpeted floor. "Keefe?" Grady called from the discarded phone. "I gotta go, I need to get to the hospital!" I shouted as Biana jumped alarmed. "Why? Keefe what happened?" Long asked, coming out of her dazed state from the sofa. "Sophie, she, I... Can someone drive me please!"

"Yes come on! We can take my car" Long said calmly. "B you coming?"

Biana glanced back at Dex and Marella who nodded at her before going back to there own way of grieving. "FOR FUCKS SAKE HURRY UP!" I shouted impatiently. I needed Sophie.

"Yes come on. Keefe what's going on!" Long asked, running along side me towards her garage. "She's okay, well she's unconscious right now but she's breathing."

"How...?"

"Vascular corridor. I read about it in science. If a gun is pointed at a certain angle- which Gisela must've done- the bullet would bypass the heart and go through the vascular corridor, which would stop any damage as long as the blood flow was stopped. But how was the blood flow stopped?" Biana gasped as my eyes widened and I halted to a stop.

I heard Biana sob slightly as she turned to me, holding both my hands.

"Keefe, you saved her."

My mind immediately cheered, telling me to praise myself for saving her... but I couldn't. I smiled a soft, sad smile. "I didn't save her B."

"Keefe-"

"No biana, I didn't save her. She's Sophie fucking Foster. She saved herself. Learning about the vascular corridor in science wasn't anywhere near mind whilst I was holding her. Her voice was in my head. We were messing about before training, she was trying to teach me what to do in a severe medical situation. I was of course not listening. But as I joked about, she stood strong, saying again after again. 'Keefe! You need to stop the bleeding no matter what!' Biana it's always been her, she guided me through everything and I can't lose her. Not now. Not ever."

"Long we need to get to the hospital now! This boy needs his soulmate." Biana grinned, tears in her eyes.

'Thankyou' I mouthed, getting in the car. She smiled, her mind obviously elsewhere. She had almost lost a best friend too, and a sister in law.

"Foster? Sophie. Princess Sophie Foster where is she?" I asked, out of breath and frantic. The receptionist looked at me in alarm. "And you are?"

"Boyfriend, Keefe Sencen." I blurted, tapping my hand on the desk as B and Long stood behind me, both as worried. Long had messaged Paris in the car and the rest of our friends were already on their way.

"Boyfriend? To the princess?" she asked skeptically, blowing a bubble with her obnoxious pink bubblegum. "Yes you dimwit? Hear the accent? See her fucking BLOOD! on my shirt?!"

"I mean..." she groaned, tapping on the keyboard slowly. "Oh yeah, she has you on emergency contacts. Floor 9, room 24" she said bordely.

"Fucking bitch" Long shouted as we ran through the hospital. Normally I would've smirked but I not right now. Not when I'm so close to her.

Biana and Long waited in the waiting room and the start of the hallway as I ran down it. Edaline and Grady were sat outside, edaline weeping and Grady's head in his hands. "Edaline?" I asked, my voice breaking. She looked up. "Keefe!"

She jumped up and wrapped her arms around me, wiping her tears away. "Bullet removal keefe, they and to remove a bullet from my daughter" she sobbed. I nodded, not trusting my voice.

"She's ?"

"She's in there. Jolie went to visit Linh down the hall" she smiled tightly. I nodded and slowly walked in the room. Before I could walk through the door, Grady stopped me. "Thankyou" he said simply. I smiled slightly and nodded.

"Foster?" I asked, walking to her side. A machine beeped in the corner, her heart beat steady. Her chest was wrapped and there was multiple drips attached to her arms. Her head had large plasters on and scratches littered her body. Her hair was slicked to the pillow yet she looked like an angel.

"Hey baby, you scared the shit outta me. I can't believe you did that Soph, like shit. You got shot! You fucking prick, why would you let my mother shoot you? You didn't have to be the hero soph, like you always are" I half laughed, half cried.

"Wow, really didn't think this was how it was gonna go" her small voice croaked and I jumped up from my knees. "Foster?"

"Who's foster? Wait who are you?" she asked cracking an eye open. My heart stilled, she didn't remember me. "I.. I.."

"Ha you should see your face right now!" she laughed hoarsely. I laughed back in relief. "But seriously was that a thank you speech or a fuck you speech?" She giggled, shutting her eyes again.

"Well I mean. Sophie... I just- Just.. Thankyou" I decided, not knowing how to express my feelings. "Yeah, yeah, I love you too you big dummy" she grinned, propping herself up slightly.

"Careful! You've just been shot you moron!" I reprimanded, smiling hard. She loves me.

"So I got shot huh?" she giggled as I helped her sit up slightly. "Yeah you did you idiot" I laughed slightly, sitting next to her on the bed. She leaned against me then groaned in pain, clutching her chest.

I helped her sit up right then wrapped my arm around her. "Keefe?"

"Yeah?"

"It's really fucking bright in here"

I laughed, pressing the button next to the bed to dim the lights. "That's better. Keefe?"

"Yeah?"

"I want to move back into the palace with Amy. I mean my parents can live there too and Jolie. Then I can stay at home until I'm old enough for coronation."

"Oh, yeah sure" I replied, my heart dropping. She's staying here.

"Keefe?"

"Hmm?"

"Move in with me?"
