"Hogs head?" Killian muttered. "Like all the way in hogsmeade?"
"I think he wants us to meet him there." I sighed finally lowering my wand. "But I have no idea how we will get there without being traced."
"Isn't it obvious?" Sirius laughed. "We become muggles for as long as we can until we have to enter back into the magic."
I mean. It's not the worst idea, definitely not the best. As far as I knew they didn't have control of hogsmeade. They obviously don't have the school otherwise it wouldn't be closed. So it shouldn't be too hard. But how the hell are we supposed to get there if the train isn't running anymore. We'd need magic. We can't walk into a magical land without any portal. We could make our way to Diagon alley from London, but he controls Diagon alley.
"We can't. The closest we could do is muggle our way to London then cross the platform and fly from there. But even then we'd have to follow the tracks and hope for the best. We need to find a way back to the order for this to even work." I sighed setting down at the table.
"Bella, we are the order." Regulus sighed. "Everyone else disbanded when the Potters died."
"Not all the Potters are dead Regulus." I snapped back at him. "And disbanded doesn't mean gone. We can find them one by one then make our way there. I assume he's staying there, he knows we can't get there fast."
Everyone just stared at me stunned for a moment before Regulus stood up shaking his head.
"You don't understand Bells, an order member just apperated into our home, said one word, then left. They do not want to be near us. I'm sorry to say it but it's the truth." He sighed.
"I have someone. It might be too late who knows, I was given the message almost a year ago." I sighed laying back in my chair.
"Who?" Sirius asked.
"Moony. He told me to meet him at the place that it all began. And then I was thrown in jail before I could figure it out. Then the horcrux, and the hiding. I almost forgot if I'm being honest." I almost laughed. Even when I know I shouldn't. It's crazy during these times how everything blends together.
"Moony asked to meet you and you just what forgot?!" Sirius shouted at me. "I swear Bella you are the stupidest person I have ever met. He could be dead now!"
"Watch it." Regulus scoffed. "As much as I'm not his biggest fan, he's smart. He's probably not dead. Probably with the others in hiding." He paused looking at me then back towards his brother. "If you speak to my wife like that again, you'll find out if he truly is dead."
Silence followed for a moment.
Things were good.
Things are good.
It's just a slip up. One argument isn't going to take away everything they've worked for. Not one argument.
"Whatever." Sirius scoffed.
Good.
No fight.
"We have to find him." I muttered. "Maybe it's where he's hiding. What could it mean?" I asked forcing my eyes back to Sirius.
"Obviously you knew him better if he reached out to you and not me." He scoffed again.
"Sirius. We all know that isn't true."
"Whatever." He sighed walking out of the room.
I know they loved each other. Deep down everyone knew, even when they hid it.
"Who else do we have?" I asked softly. "Pandora?"
Nope death eater.
Remus is truly our only hope.
——
We all sat silently for what felt like hours. Slowly made our ways to bed. Slowly fell asleep. Slowly felt his arms wrap around me pulling me close. Slowly whispering soft I love yous. Slow kisses covering my face. Slow movements as we slowly slipped away into our dreams.
Or truly our nightmares.
We're never going to win.
——
The place it all began.
That is all that repeated in my head as I slowly drifted off to bed. Hoping the truth would come to my dreams.
"Bella Potter" I held my hand out with a big smile plastered on my face.
"Remus lupin!" He smiled back. "But you can call me Moony!! All my friends do!"
"You'll always be my favorite Potter." He smiled towards me as we played games in their common room. "Even when you're with the enemy class."
"I love you Bells, always remember that." He smiled as he drank from a bottle of fire whiskey.
"Dark times are coming. I'm scared Bella." He sighed as he and I sat atop the astronomy tower.
"I know, I'm scared too." I sighed back not knowing what was coming just yet.
"I wish we could just go back. To the place it all began. Where we fell in love, where everything was good, where we were too young to understand" He sighed again.
"That would be nice." I smiled.
——
Losing my breath, almost dying, I shot awoke from bed as I felt Regulus's hands wrapped around me shaking me."Where were you! What happened? Are you okay?" Was all I could hear filling my ears. But all I could see was the one memory of us sitting in the tower.
The place it all began.
The place it all began.
I kept repeating it. Repeating it like the place would just show up in my eyes. Did I know what he meant then? Did I know what he means now?
Only one place could come to mind.
Where he met Sirius, or where I met Regulus. Both happened in the same moment. It has to be that. It needs to be that.
"I think I figured it out." I smiled. "I think I know where he is."
I laughed till I almost couldn't breathe. It was right in front of me this whole time. Even Dumbledore told me.
Hogshead.
