YUNHO'S POV

I went through my morning routine on autopilot, brushing my teeth and washing my face without really thinking about it. My reflection in the mirror looked as tired and confused as I felt. Packing my suitcase for our travel day provided a brief distraction, the mechanical actions helping to keep my thoughts at bay.

As I zipped up my bag, a small part of me felt relief that we would be spending most of the day on a plane. It meant I wouldn't have to face Mingi or the awkwardness of last night's events, at least not immediately.

I left my hotel room, my suitcase in hand, and headed down the hallway towards the lobby. As I rounded a corner, I nearly collided with Mingi, who was just coming out of his room. For a moment, we stood there in awkward silence, the weight of last night's events hanging between us.

"Good morning," Mingi said, forcing a smile. His eyes didn't quite meet mine.

"Morning," I replied, my voice sounding more strained than I intended.

He hesitated, then took a deep breath. "Can we, um, keep last night between us? Just... act like it didn't happen?"

It stung to hear him frame it like that, but I nodded, forcing a reassuring smile. "Yeah, of course. It was just a caught-in-the-moment thing."

The words felt like a lie, but I wanted to avoid any more tension. "I agree," Mingi said, a note of relief in his voice. "Let's just move on and not make things awkward." We walked side by side to the lobby, the conversation stilted but polite.

As we gathered with the others and checked out of the hotel, I felt a heavy weight in my chest. The lobby was bustling with the usual morning activity, but I couldn't bring myself to engage with anyone. The memory of last night played on a loop in my mind, making it hard to focus on anything else.

Everyone headed to the car, chatting and laughing, but I slid into the back seat quietly, hoping to go unnoticed. San, always perceptive, slipped in next to me. He gave me a sidelong glance before nudging me with his elbow.

"Hey, Yunho," he started, voice low so the others wouldn't hear. "When are you gonna confess to Mingi?"

I forced a chuckle, masking the turmoil inside. "I don't know, San. It's complicated."

San's expression softened, and he placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "I think you should today," he said with a smirk.

I mustered a smile, though it felt hollow. "Yeah, maybe," I lied, hoping he wouldn't press further. The truth of last night was too raw, too painful to share. I couldn't bear the thought of them knowing how Mingi had shut me out after what should have been a beautiful moment.

As we pulled away from the hotel, I stared out the window, lost in thought. The cityscape blurred by, but all I could see was Mingi's face, the warmth of his lips, and the coldness that followed. The constant reminder of the situation made my anger rise. The car ride to the airport was filled with chatter and excitement, but I remained silent, grappling with the uncertainty of what was ahead.

At the airport, the usual hustle and bustle of travelers and announcements surrounded us, but my focus was on keeping my emotions in check. We gathered our bags and headed towards the check-in counters.

Mingi was ahead, talking with Wooyoung and Seonghwa, but I could feel his presence like a magnetic pull. My irritation simmered beneath the surface, the unresolved tension from last night gnawing at me.

As we reached the counter, a mix-up with our tickets occurred. Mingi stepped in to sort it out, his usual confident self. But something about his nonchalance rubbed me the wrong way, exacerbating the simmering irritation I was barely holding in check.
