SAN'S POV
As we walked up to the dorm door, I could still hear Wooyoung grumbling behind me.
"You're not human, San," he moaned, dragging his feet like the gym session had physically drained his soul. "How are you so normal after all that? I can barely move."
I couldn't help but laugh, the sound echoing down the street. "It's all in the mindset, Woo," I teased, knowing full well he hated that answer. Mingi, still catching his breath from the workout, shook his head in disbelief.
Yunho, who had joined us on the way back, gave me a knowing look and nodded in agreement. "Seriously, San. I think you're the only one who didn't feel like dying back there."
I just shrugged, enjoying the banter. We all made our way inside, and as soon as we entered the living room, Wooyoung immediately raised a finger to his lips, shushing us.
Mingi furrowed his brow, whispering, "What is it?"
I followed Wooyoung's gaze and finally saw what had him all worked up. On the couch, Seonghwa was fast asleep with his head resting on Hongjoong's lap. Hongjoong, too, was out cold, his head thrown back, completely relaxed. The sight was so peaceful and domestic that it took me by surprise.
Wooyoung's expression softened, his usual playful energy dimming to something almost reverent. "They're so cute," he whispered, a bright smile spreading across his face. I couldn't help but smile too, feeling a warmth spread through me.
As we stood there, basking in the tranquility of the moment, Wooyoung turned to us with a soft grin. "I don't think I've ever seen them look this peaceful."
Mingi nodded, his usual tough exterior melting away. "Yeah, it's kind of nice to see them like this," he murmured, keeping his voice low as if any louder would shatter the calm.
Yunho leaned in slightly, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "They've been working so hard lately. It's good they're getting some rest."
I nodded, still gazing at Seonghwa and Hongjoong. It was rare to catch them like this, completely at ease, and it made me feel a deep sense of gratitude for the family we've become.
As we stood there, quietly appreciating the scene in front of us, Wooyoung's eyes lit up with mischief.
"I have to get a picture of this," he whispered excitedly, already pulling out his phone.
"Woo, come on, just let them sleep," I cautioned, knowing full well how this could end.
But Wooyoung was already tiptoeing towards the couch, his movements slow and exaggerated to avoid making any noise. Mingi and Yunho exchanged a look, both clearly amused by Wooyoung's antics but not willing to stop him.
"Just one picture," Wooyoung mouthed to us, as if that would make it any better. He inched closer, practically holding his breath as he hovered over Seonghwa and Hongjoong. With the utmost care, he raised his phone and snapped the picture.
I almost sighed in relief, thinking he might actually get away with it. But then, just as he took a step back, his heel caught the edge of the coffee table. The table shuddered, and before any of us could react, Wooyoung lost his balance and went crashing to the floor, taking the coffee table and everything on it down with him.
The sound was deafening in the quiet room. Books, remotes, and a half-empty glass of water clattered to the floor, and in an instant, Seonghwa and Hongjoong were jolted awake.
"Run!" Yunho hissed, already bolting for Mingi's room with Mingi close behind, both of them giggling like schoolboys.
I didn't need to be told twice. I dashed for my room, leaving Wooyoung to fend for himself. As I made it to the hallway, I glanced back just in time to see Wooyoung sitting on the floor amidst the mess, looking up at Seonghwa and Hongjoong with a sheepish grin.
