THIRTY-FOUR

"I'll make sure that Beomgyu can't join his team this year!"

- HyunJin spoke out narrowing his eyes at the other boy, while his lips curved into a smug smile.

"Really?! Wah"- the other one exclaimed.

What in the world?! What is he intended to do?! I can't just let it happen, right? Not only because Beomgyu is the main reason of our winning, but also because he's my friend, more like my own brother!..

I saw the two figures heading out of the washroom area, so I did follow them.

They were also heading to the canteen.

" How about pushing him off the stairs and making him break his ankle?! "- HyunJin recommended.

" Ow, not bad! "- replied his companion.

Nah, I can't stand it anymore...like seriously? Someone's planning your friend's misfortune and you're gonna sit straight?!

I was right behind them, clearly listening their each talkings. They didn't seem to notice me since it was a bit crowdy there.

" Or let's just let him bitten by stray dogs?! "- HyunJin further spoke, making my blood boil.

My fist clenched tightly and ended up harshly grabbing HyunJin's collar, pulling him to the other direction he was walking .

His eyes widened once he saw me, and those shocked cat eyes hastyly turned into demented ones, as he didn't waste a second to grab my collar back.

"What are you doing? Leave!"- he cried out loud, tightening the grip on my collar.

"How dare you to even think such things about my friends?!"- I yelled back at him.

People started to gather around us, hearing those shouts.

" Leave me I said! "- he snapped.

" You worthless scumbag! "- I yelled before landing a strong punch on his face.

That caused him fall on his butt but he didn't wait a second before getting up and punching me back, with the same effort I put in my punch.

His punch made my face turn left and I again punched him back making his face turn right.

And like that, the fight between us started to become wilder, wilder that at one point,it was really tough to stop us.

Soon, a teacher arrived at the place and efficiently separated both of us with the help of some other students.

He took us to the principal and...

We ended up getting the punishment of cleanling the store room.

°End of flashback...°

" Seriously? "- Ji-hae split out, making a delectable face, covering her mouth, trying to stop her laughter.

" This isn't funny! "- I yelled at her.

Hyunjin tightened his grip on his own broom, stopping the work he was doing and spoke,

"See? It was you who caused all of this!"

"Huh?! It was clearly your fault, okay??"- I snapped back at him.

Then, eying back at Ji-hae, who wasn't really doing anything without looking around, I asked with judgment mixed with my voice,

" Well, why are YOU here then??"

She kept her eyes travelling through the room, totally being unbothered by my question. Her facial reaction was the same as before.

"They....mistook me with someone.."- she said locking her eyes with me, exhaling sharply.

So, she didn't do anything?

Asking her more about this would be of no use, I guess. So I refrained from doing that and tried to hear her thoughts instead.

" Cigarettes?... Me?... Huh! I'm never going to pick anything up dropped by a stranger! ".- she thought to herself.

A small chuckle left my mouth as I  got a little idea about her situation.

But soon, my smile vanishes, meeting her eyes in which, anger was visible.

" What's funny?! "- she snapped.

Biting my inner cheeks, I fastly replied while gripping on my mop, swiping the floor,

" I don't see anything funny, hehe"

She just sighed softly and started to wipe the dusty window.

Hell, we've got many things to clean.

While doing my job, I wasn't really stopping myself from stealing short glances at her, working for something she wasn't responsible for.

Now, I was right beside her, still mopping and asked her with my regular enticing tone,

"Aren't you afraid? "

She seemed to be back off a bit hearing my question and with a frown, she swiftly replied,

"Afraid of what? "

"That you're with me, alone in this room? "- I spoke deeply staring at her soul.

Coughing a bit, she awkwardly spoke,

" W-Why would I be afraid of you?plus there's another person present in the room except you and me."

- her index finger pointed at Hyunjin, who was now busy checking out the stored footballs. Probably being  bothered by the fact of not getting the expected interest from Ji-hae.

I leaned closer to her face, enough to make her hold her breath for a few moments, deeply spoke out with my intense gaze,

"What are you afraid of then? "

Her facial expressions turned kinda blank, staring back at me, as if she herself doesn't know what she really is afraid of.

She was about to say something but  just then, an uninvited guest showed up spreading it's both wings, flying through the room.

Cockroach.

At the moment Ji-hae laid her eyes on the winged creature, immediately fear accompanied her eyesight, and she seemed to be paused.

What? She's afraid of it? Seriously?

The insect was still flying , finally gaining Hyunjin's attention too.

Hyunjin's face changed into a disgusted one once he noticed it.

And then, the roach was about to pass beside Ji-hae .

What she did next left me in awe.

"Aaaaa!! "

And with that, she didn't hesitate to do the next movement.

Literally crawling on my torso with a quick motion, she wrapped her arms around me like an octopus. Completely closing the gap between us, she was still trying to make her arms hold me tighter than ever...

Her head rested against my chest while my arms layed down just like they were before.

I don't know why but I felt different.. Very different from any other feelings..
