1 year and 2 months ago.

"I'm sorry, Elizabeth. You've left us with no choice."

The woman looked sad. The girl couldn't remember why. Her thoughts were racing, not making any sense.

Her head hurt. It was pounding. There were voices. She was seeing things.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. They know. They found out."

She recognized herself. Crying. Why was she crying? Why was she apologizing? She was speaking to someone. He had brown hair. That's all she could see. He was holding her face.

"What are you talking about? They know? But you were so careful."

She was blubbering tearfully. She wasn't making any sense, saying random words and apologising over and over again.

"El, your not making sense. Calm down. Talk to me."

It was dark. There was darkness all around. The boy's voice calmed her. But he was fading away. The scene changed.

"Why would you do that? After everything we've worked for? Everything you've worked for? You did most of this and now you feel bad?"

A brunette girl. Shouting at her. She was angry.

"I know, okay! But I can't watch them in there. I thought it wouldn't effect me, but it does. They are my friends. And it was my mother, Tess. What would you do if your mother reached out to you?"

"My mother is dead, Liza. That is exactly why I'm doing all this."

Her eyes were adjusting to the darkness. But she couldn't see properly. She was still seeing things. Was this just a dream? Are they memories? Panic settled in. They can't be memories, because she doesn't remember anything.

"Well done, Elizabeth. This is perfect. It's exactly what we needed."

The woman again. She was handing the woman a piece of paper, some sort of maze was drawn on it. There was a code at the top, numbers.

She searched her brain. The only thing she could think of was a name. Elizabeth. Her name. The boy was back again.

"You did it?"

The brunette boy. He was grinning at her. He rushed towards her, holding her face in his hands. She felt warm in his presence.

"I did it."

She smiled back at him.

"And there were no errors? No loopholes?"

"Nope. She said it was perfect."

He kissed her.

"Of course it was you. If any of us were going to be able to do it, it would be you. You're brilliant."

He was gone. She was starting to see better now. It was dark. She was surrounded by boxes. It was also cold. She was on a metal floor.

"I really like him, Tess."

The brunette girl was smiling at her.

"I know. And he's obsessed with you. You guys should get married, like right now."

They laughed together. They were happy.

Bestfriends, like sisters.

She was starting to make out her surroundings. It was a box-like shape. Her ears were ringing as she drifted in and out of her memories.

"What is this? You stupid girl. What have you done?"

A man. He was mean.

"We should've seen this coming. What with your stupid mother and what she did. This was bound to happen."

The box was rattling, shaking her about. She could feel it was about to stop. The boy, again.

"They're going to send me in. I won't remember you. I won't remember us. I might never see you again."

"Stop it. You will remember."

"No. I've fucked everything up. I've ruined everything. I just wanted to help them."

"Stop it. Take this."

The brunette boy shoved something into her hands. She still couldn't see his face, or what he had given her.

"Don't ever lose it. Then I'll always be with you. I'll finish what you started, and I'll get you out of there and we'll all be safe."

She was about to reach her destination soon. She knew it. She got up and hid herself in a corner. The doors opened and light flooded her vision, burning her eyes. Blinking rapidly, she adjusted to the light as someone jumped into the box.

"Where are they?" Someone else called to the boy infront of her. There was a group of them surrounding the box she was in.

"I don't know, I can't-" The boy's eyes landed on her, "Oh," He stepped forward and then paused, studying her, "Oh." He said again.

"What? What is it?" Another voice asked. He sounded weird.

"It's a little girl." The other boy said.

Quite frankly, Elizabeth didn't like his tone.

She stepped out from her hiding spot faster than he could process and punched him square in the face.

He fell. Elizabeth stood over him, "I am not a little girl."

The boys were shocked. Some were laughing. Some were asking if the rude boy was okay. Nobody was asking if she was okay.

"Hey, calm down."

One of them jumped into the box. He had dark skin, and a calming voice.

"I'm Alby, I'm the leader here. We don't want to hurt you. We're all on the same side here. I know your scared and confused-"

"I don't remember anything."

"Neither do we. Everything we know we've learnt here. Your name should come back to you soon, in a couple-"

"I know my name, it's Elizabeth."

The dark-skinned boy paused, then a smile grew on his face. The boy she had punched stood behind him, he didn't look to happy. Stepping forward, Alby's body language relaxed and he spoke again.

"Well, Elizabeth. Welcome to the glade."
