Elizabeth was tidying the med-hut. Her fellow med-jacks, Clint and Jeff (Who did not know how to tidy up after themselves, or even really how to tidy up people's injuries, despite their job role) had left it in a mess, as per usual. She didn't mind though. It gave her something to do. Nobody ever came to the med-hut, other than Newt, usually to make sure she wasn't going crazy on her own, or Chuck, who was very young and the newest addition to the glade and had seemed to take comfort in Elizabeth's presence, after struggling to make friends with many of the other boys, due to the age difference.

"Beth! Lizabeth!" Chuck called as he ran into the hut.

"Hi Chuck." Elizabeth grinned. Chuck was the only one who called her Beth, he had wanted to be different to the other boys.

"It's nearly time!" Chuck was buzzing with excitement.

"I know. Don't get too close though, okay? The other boys get pushy sometimes, I don't want you getting hurt."

"I won't. I can't wait to meet him. Or her? Do you think it could be a girl?"

"Probably not, unfortunately. If it were a girl I'd be even more excited than you."

An alarm sound that Elizabeth knew all too well began to ring out loudly throughout the glade, the new greenie was here. Chuck rushed off without another word and Elizabeth chuckled fondly as he ran along. From the med hut, she observed the boys as they gathered around the box and opened it up, all of them chuckling at the greenie that cowered inside. Like every other time a greenie had been sent up for the last three years, Gally jumped into the box first and despite being too far to see his face, Elizabeth could vividly picture the intimidating expression that Gally was without a doubt pulling.

She remembered her own experience with Gally's welcome to the glade. She had arrived just over a year ago. The boys, specifically Gally, had learnt very quickly not to underestimate Elizabeth. Now, they respected her.

"Hey, we got a runner!"

Elizabeth looked up as she heard the volume of the laughter increase, only to see that the greenie had gotten up and run off from the crowd of boys, sprinting towards the med hut. Stepping outside she slowly walked forwards, the new boy clearly unaware she was there. She didnt know what she was planning on doing, at this rate he would probably sprint past her. As she was trying to figure out her next move, the boy tripped and face planted to the ground not far from where she was stood. Scoffing, Elizabeth walked over.

"Hey there greenie, as impressive as this is for a first impression I feel like it might be a good idea if you stand up and head on over this way." She pointed towards the crowd of boys and headed that way herself.

The boys were still laughing as she reached them, "I hope you know your all horrible people."

"It's not out fault. He was shaking like a leaf in the wind when we pulled him out, he's obviously just clunking his pants in fear and decided the best way to deal with that is to run. Shank." Gally responded, the rest of the boys guffawing at his words.

"Gally you have no room to talk, Minho told me you pissed yourself when you came up." Elizabeth retaliated, for some reason she felt the need to protect the new boy. Her comment only made the group laugh harder.

"Alright, alright. Shows over now people," Newt stepped forward, a playful smile on his face, "Gally go get the green bean. Put him in the pits. Liz-"

"Yeah, I'll deal with him."

Gally and two other boys made their way over to where the new boy was layed on the floor, picking him up and making their way over to the pits. Elizabeth continued walking over to the homestead where she knew Alby would be.
