6: adventurers guild

you sighed, looking at all the clothes you had bought yesterday. It was now your first full day in teyvat, and you surprisingly were doing pretty good at not having a mental breakdown over the fact that you were in a completely different world. Luckily, as soon as you had touched your new bed last night you immediately fell asleep and didn't have any weird dreams. Unfortunately, you had to go out and do something now.

oh my god, how can anyone survive without phones?? I sound like such a iPad kid right now, but I'm serious. I don't know what to do with my free time, I can't call any of my friends, I can't PLAY VIDEO GAMES...

And now you had to go out and talk to people. You didn't like people! Actually, it wasn't that you didn't like them, it was more that you were scared of them.

But anyways, sulking wasn't going to get you anywhere. You felt the urge to dress up a bit and try to give a better first impression on the people of sumeru than you had given wanderer and nahida.

the motivation was definitely going to be gone by next week, but whatever. it was a first impression not a forever impression.

you had taken out the hairstyle and accessories you had the night before, and you were too lazy to put them back in, so your hair was staying down. after a bit of thinking, you decided to wear some high rise shorts (with pockets!!) and a cute white cropped t-shirt that had some sort of light green transparent shawl attached to the shoulders.

alright, looking pretty fine if I do say so myself! you thought, looking at yourself in the mirror after brushing your hair and teeth and doing all the typical morning stuff. now time to go out and talk to no one!! (hopefully)

currently you were walking around sumeru city alone like some sort of loser. you had gotten some weird looks when you walked down from the sanctuary of surasthana, and that had not helped to boost your confidence.

uhhhh... maybe I could go down to .. whatchamacallit— puspa café? I think that's the name. Actually, that's a good idea, I need some coffee.

You were around the alchemy table area, so maybe you could also stop by and take a look at the adventurers guild just for funsies. also, maybe you'd be able to see the traveller there! If you saw them you weren't going to talk to them— social anxiety said nuh uh to any unnecessary social interactions— you just wanted to see whether or not the traveller was lumine or aether. you had chosen lumine in your world, so if it was aether you'd know that this wasn't your world (or account or whatever.)

after a teensy winsy bit of searching, you found the guild. thank god that sumeru was your favourite nation and you had the mini map engraved in your head.
