you yawned as you walked over to the adventurers guild. you had barely gotten any sleep last night, since you had stayed up till who knows when reading some of the books that were in nahidas living room. most of them were smart people books, non-fiction and all that, but there were also a few out of place fiction books that were pretty good.

you looked down at the daily commission board, wondering what four wanderer would pick today. it had been around a week and a half since wanderer had decided to help you out, and so far it had been going okay. you were learning, and slowly but surely, and you were getting better.

you had even joined the adventurers guild!! ..though you hadn't done much other than tag along with wanderer to attempt to kill a hillichurl or two before he did. you knew that you could kill them, cause for some reason, you had the strength of some sort of bodybuilder (how you had gotten that strength, you didn't know and quite frankly, you didn't want to think about it) and you had killed hillichurls before, but it was more your state of mind that prevented you from really doing much. they used to be human, after all. ...well, part of it was your mindset, and
the other part was the fact that wanderer could kill a whole camp in two seconds and it took you at least a minute to take down one.

as for your swordsmanship, you had no problem holding and swinging a sword because of your magic genshin strength and stamina, so really the only problem was your horrible technique. you could swing a sword, sure, but could you actually hit the thing you were trying to? besides, wanderer seemed to be teaching you traditional inazuman swordsmanship, which probably payed more attention to detail that average sword styles. you weren't particularly sure that's what he was teaching you exactly, but you thought he was, based on the way he made you hold and sheath the sword.

it made sense that he would know some swordsmanship, regarding his lore and all that stuff. you had asked him, but he had just ignored you and told you to get back to training.

i don't know why he wouldn't tell me, but i don't wanna push my luck with him. i'm just glad that he's helping me in the first place. you thought, sighing.

speaking of thinking— uh, thinking of thinking, maina also hadn't popped up in your head since that one night, and you kinda wished that she would so you'd know that you weren't going crazy and that she was actually real.

maybe she's here right now!!

...

maybe you were, in fact, crazy.

crazy? i was crazy once. they locked me in a rubber room full of rats— oh hey there's scaramouche! oopsies, wrong name. uh, wanderer. kunikuzushi. saskatscaramuskrat. dear GOD i need SLEEP.

you tried to act normal (or as normal as you could be) as wanderer approached you with.. someone else behind him?

huh. who's that? you thought, tilting your head at the pair. the guy behind him was wearing a akademiya uniform and he was trying his best to keep up with wanderer, who was walking quite fast.
