"that was fun! thank you so much, kiyoshi." you said as you cracked your knuckles. you and him had done some commissions after training for a while, and you had managed to kill a grand total of... no slimes or hillichurls!! so impressive!! so preppy!!

seriously, though. wanderer, —OH MY GOD, not wanderer, kiyoshi must've taken steroids or something today, because he wiped out those enemies faster than you could say skibidi toilet or something ...frankly, i'm a little concerned.

"quit thanking me after every time we meet. it's annoying," he remarked, glaring at you. you blinked, and a frown found its way onto your face.

"ah.. okay, sorry..." you muttered a apology, hoping that you weren't actually being that annoying by having over the top manners.

one thing that you had noticed was that kiyoshi had been unusually mean today.

i mean sure, he's always been a (lovable) little brat, but he seems genuinely annoyed this time.. i wonder if something happened. well, other than me being annoying.

you had started to really wish that you could go back in time and tell yourself not to even mention the commission around him, because you were sure that was the only possible thing you could've done to sour his mood. the fact he had been relatively nice before you had talked about it fueled your suspicions, either it was that, or he just got up on the wrong side of bed today and it only kicked in till after you had talked to him.

you looked over at the house you and him were talking by to avoid having to look at him incase he was giving you a dirty look, (you may or may not start crying and you did NOT want that to happen, he probably already thought you were a dramatic little bitch, and you didn't want to reinforce that view of you) and did a double take when you saw two suspiciously zesty looking individuals exit it.

HOLY FREAK, IS THAT ALHAITHAM AND KAVEH???? you thought, your mood instantly switching as you saw the roommates. and they were roommates... uh, wait— is this their house? for some reason it took you longer than it should've to recognize the area when you looked around, but it was indeed their house.

oh, it is! i didn't even realize that we were next to it... that's not good. i hope my genshin knowledge wont disappear after im in this world for too long.

you looked back over at kiyoshi, who was side eyeing the couple as they walked past. you realized he was probably hoping that they wouldn't talk to him/recognize him, or maybe it was the other way around.

it seemed that his wish was granted, because the two walked right past you and him.

you glanced up at the big tree that held sumeru city, realizing you had forgotten how that had got there. probably something to do with greater lord rukkatevata or nahida. it's not good that i forgot that, though... maybe i should read some of the history books that are in the living room.
