That day we walked around his favorite art museum. He showed me his favorite pieces and what they meant to him. The place was beautiful. It had white walls with gold trim all over the floor. The ceiling was tall and had gold decorations lining the windows. I fell in love with this place.

"Wow." I said looking at Holden as we walked through the city. It was beautiful here.

"Did you like it?" He asked grabbing my hand.

"I loved it. No wonder it's your favorite."

"I'm glad you liked it. My grandma would be very happy." He smiled at the thought of his grandma. She was his very best friend and it was adorable. I love Grandma Pat. It was after lunch at this point. We were in there for a while. It was almost dinner time and I was starving.

"Can we go eat at that diner you took me to? I'm starving and it sounds really good." I asked grabbing his arm.

"Yeah. It's about 10 minutes walking if that's alright with you." He smiled down at me

"That's fine." We walked to the diner. It only took 5 extra minutes to get there but I wasn't mad about it. We sat down and had our food. He ordered a milkshake and it was huge. He kept asking if I was okay and if I needed anything. He was so extremely worried and sweet. Usually, day 2 is the worst. Let's hope it doesn't ruin tomorrow's plans.

It ruined plans. I was in so much pain. I couldn't even move. We laid in bed all day watching movies. It was all I could really do. I couldn't walk and it was horrible. The worry on Holden's face all day made me sad. I could tell he felt helpless. He made me food and brought me medicine. He kept my water bottle full and even went out and bought me a heating pad. He saw online that heating pads help a lot.

By the time the week was over, we had seen so many different things. He showed me around the popular tourist attractions and even gave me a personal tour of every spot he wrote at. We only had a few more days left in New York and I was sad. I was excited to go back to London and lay in my bed, but he was really happy here. I could tell why so many people wanted to come here. It was glorious. I was so lucky to be able to be here. I know we'd be back for the tour, but we won't have as much time.

We finished out our last few days with his family. I could tell how much he missed them. His family was great. Jake had a wife of his own and a kid on the way. He announced the pregnancy at last night's game night. Everyone was so excited. I loved being around them. They made me feel like I was a part of their family. It made me feel something that I had been left out on growing up. The baby was due in December. We wouldn't be touring at that point so Holden can be back to meet his niece or nephew.

We were dropped off really early in the morning by his mom. "Thank you so much for having me. I had an amazing time with you guys!" I said in his mom's ear.

"Of course. There's no need to thank me. I'm glad you came." She said before whispering. "He's only ever brought a girl home once and that's after almost a year of dating. He really likes you. He may even love you. Don't let him go."

"I won't. You raised him right." I told her before walking to Holden. He went up to his mom and gave her a hug. She also whispered in his ear. He laughed at what she said.

"I won't. I love you mom." He replied to her.

We walked through the airport to where security was. We went through security and customs. By the time we were done, we had an hour until the flight. We went to the Starbucks and got some coffee. I could tell it would be a long flight. We couldn't get first class this time.

The flight back was terrible. We need up getting separated. I don't even remember how it happened. I was sat next to a really creepy old guy who wouldn't look away. I was getting uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep and I was exhausted. By the time we got off the plane, I felt like a zombie. I just wanted to get into my bed.

I met Holden outside the gate. He had grabbed both of our bags and we walked to security together. We got our stuff and left the airport. We didn't say much because we were both exhausted. The time zones were throwing us for a loop. I called an Uber and we waited. Once they got to the airport and we got back to my apartment.

"Here we are" I said throwing myself on the couch. Holden came and sat beside me and grabbed my hand.

"I recognize this room. Niall used to do instagram lives in here." He said looking around.

"He did. I watched them. But let's go to my room and sleep. I'm exhausted." I said standing up.

"Okay. This place is a lot bigger than mine back in New York." He said looking around as we walked.

"That's the bathroom for guests. My bathroom is connected to my room and Niall has his own in his room which is that one. You can use my bathroom since it's closer. If you'd like to use the guest one, go for it." I said pointing to the different doors. The kitchen is right when we walk in so I hope he saw that. I walked to my room door and opened it. The smell of my candles hit me. They smelt like sugar and home. I was so happy.

"This is your room?" He asked stepping in behind me. I shut the door and walked to my closet to change.

"Yup. I'm going to go change. Get comfy. I'll be back." I said walking to my bathroom.

"Okay." He said walking to my bed. I changed and washed my hands and face. I felt better already. I walked to my bed and found Holden sleeping already. He was on my favorite side. I crawled over him and laid in the other spot. It was still my bed so I didn't mind. He rolled over and hugged me tight. It's like he knew I was beside him already. This was the man that I read about in my romance novels. The man my mom told me about when I was younger. The man that I've dreamed about countless times. The man I knew I loved.
