Ivy

We officially started our North America leg of the tour last night. The fans were going crazy. One thing, Florida was fucking hot. Holy moly. Us Irish and Englishman were boiling out there. Holden acted like he was fine, but in reality he was also cooking. Who knew it could get so hot?

"Oh my god. How do people live in this?" I groaned. The show last night was rough. We were currently in Tampa.

"Ivy stop being dramatic." Nat was hot and grumpy.

"Nat you're used to the heat. I'm not. I'm from Ireland." I complained. Holden grabbed my hand and gave it a little squeeze.

"Come on let's go back inside. You girls are going to get feisty if we don't get you cooled down." He got up and we walked inside. I felt relief as soon as the cold air hit me. We didn't walk too close in case someone saw us together. It wouldn't be weird because I work for him. We were just being cautious. We walked into his dressing room and I sat back on the couch.

"Good luck out there tonight. I'm dying and I don't have to run around on stage."

"It'll be alright. You'll get used to the heat. Just wait until we get to Texas and Arizona at the end of July and beginning of August. Good luck." He chuckled. I was so irritated because if the heart right now. I swear I could choke him.

"Thanks for the supportive words. I'm grumpy and tired. I'm sweating so bad. I'm sweating in places I didn't know I could sweat." I grumbled. He didn't say anything. He walked over to his mini fridge and grabbed a cold water.

"I knew you'd get hot so I threw in a few waters. There's a freezer on the bus. I'll be right back." He threw the water and ran out of the room. I put the cold water on my forehead and instantly felt better. Holden came back after a few minutes carrying a blue box.

"What's that?" I asked.

"I grabbed an ice pack for you." He held up a blue ice pack. He walked over to me and handed it to me. I grabbed it and put it on the back of my neck.

"Thank you. I'm sorry for being dramatic. I'm not used to any heat at all." I apologized.

"You're alright, sweetheart. That's why we are getting you taken care of." He sat beside me.

"Don't sit too close. I stink." I could smell the sweat from me.

"Ivy, you don't stink." He said right as we heard a knock. I got up and walked to the table behind his couch. A crew member stuck his head in.

"Niall just finished sound check. You're up in 15." He said looking between me and Holden.

"Alright. Thanks man." Holden answered. As soon as the door shut and the footsteps grew quieter, I started laughing.

"Did you see the way he looked at us?" I giggled.

"I did. He was so confused. He acts like we don't work together." He shook his head.

"I'll go get set up. I'll see you in 15." I walked over and pecked his lips. I'd never get used to that feeling. My heart jumped at every interaction.

"Alright." He got up to follow me out.

"You stay here. Can't let anyone see us together. I have a job to keep." I said. He just nodded in recognition.

I walked to the sound booth. It was boiling. I instantly started sweating again. Good luck to Niall's team. Being out here for 90 minutes was going to be tough. I saw Nat at our station.

"Hey Nat!" I greeted her.

"Ivy, it's so fucking hot." She groaned.

"I know. My Irish blood can't handle it." I sat beside her.
