The following week at school was a whirlwind of activity. As the student body president, Y/N had a lot on her plate, especially with the upcoming Spring Fling. Between classes, hockey practice, and her duties as president, her schedule was packed.

Y/N was sitting in the student council room, going over the plans for the Spring Fling with her team. They had a lot to discuss: the theme, decorations, entertainment, and logistics. She wanted this event to be memorable for everyone.

"Okay, team," Y/N began, looking around at her fellow council members. "We need to finalize the theme for the Spring Fling. Any ideas?"

One of the council members, Sarah, raised her hand. "What about a Hollywood glamour theme? We could have a red carpet, paparazzi, and everyone can dress up like movie stars."

"That's a great idea," Y/N said, jotting it down. "Any other suggestions?"

"We could do a carnival theme," another member, Mike, suggested. "With fun games, colorful decorations, and maybe even some carnival food stands."

Y/N nodded, considering both options. "Both themes sound fantastic. Let's take a vote."

After a quick show of hands, the Hollywood glamour theme won by a narrow margin. Y/N smiled, pleased with the decision. "Hollywood glamour it is. Now, let's talk decorations. We'll need a red carpet, some gold and silver decorations, and maybe some spotlights to create the right atmosphere."

As the meeting continued, Eddie popped his head into the room. "Hey, Y/N. Got a minute?"

Y/N excused herself and stepped out into the hallway with Eddie. "What's up?"

"I just wanted to see if you needed any help with the Spring Fling planning," Eddie offered. "I know you're super busy with everything else."

Y/N's heart warmed at his thoughtfulness. "That would be amazing, Eddie. There's so much to do, and any help would be great."

"Count me in," Eddie said with a grin. "Just let me know what you need."

The rest of the week flew by with a blur of meetings, planning sessions, and coordinating with various school clubs. Eddie proved to be invaluable, helping Y/N with everything from designing posters to brainstorming entertainment ideas. Their friendship grew stronger with each passing day, and Y/N found herself looking forward to their time together.

On Friday afternoon, Y/N and Eddie were in the student council room, surrounded by stacks of decorations and supplies.

"Do you think we have enough decorations?" Eddie asked, holding up a gold star.

"I think so," Y/N replied, laughing. "We might even have extras. Thanks for helping me with all this, Eddie. I couldn't have done it without you."

Eddie smiled, leaning back in his chair. "Anytime, Y/N. I love spending time with you, and this has been a lot of fun."

Y/N felt a blush creep up her cheeks. "I've enjoyed it too. You're really good at this."

As they finished up for the day, Eddie walked Y/N to her locker. He seemed a bit nervous, shifting from foot to foot.

"Y/N, there's something I've been wanting to ask you," Eddie began, scratching the back of his head.

Y/N tilted her head, curious. "What is it, Eddie?"

He took a deep breath, his eyes meeting hers. "Would you... would you go to the Spring Fling with me? As my date?"

Y/N felt her heart skip a beat. She had been so caught up in planning the event that she hadn't even thought about who she would go with. But now, hearing Eddie ask her, she realized it was exactly what she wanted.

A smile spread across her face. "I'd love to, Eddie."

Eddie's face lit up with relief and happiness. "Really? That's awesome!"

Y/N nodded, feeling a warmth spread through her. "Yeah, really. It'll be amazing."

As the final bell rang, they parted ways, each heading home with a sense of anticipation for the event they had worked so hard to plan. Y/N couldn't help but feel that the Spring Fling would be more than just a school dance; it would be the start of something special.
