The snowy winter morning starts with a government warning blaring on all news stations, phones, and screens in the large city. As the young man waiting for the bus hears the warning blare over his phone, he sighs and watches as his cloudy breath dissipates. Another one. Another lycan attack. His heart throbs as he watches as the large wild cat lycan is shot and killed live on the national news. He quickly turned his phone off, hating that he just watched a lycan be brutally killed.

"The hunters dispatched that one quickly." The man sitting next to Taehyung sighs with relief. "Thank goodness, right?" He turns and looks at Taehyung.

"Sure," Taehyung sighs and stands up when his bus arrives. "Thank goodness," he mutters and gets on the bus.

"I just don't understand why the government doesn't exterminate all of them. They are a danger to society." A woman on the bus scowls as she watches the news on her phone. "This one even reproduced."

When Taehyung hears her, his stomach churns. As the woman continues her rant, Taehyung grits his teeth and tries to bite his tongue until he cannot stand her voice. "They are like us!" he finally shouts and looks at her with anger.

"Like us? Are you crazy?" The woman scoffs and looks at Taehyung like he has uttered the most offensive words known to mankind. "They are animals. They hunt and kill. Even the tamed ones are dangerous."

"How are they dangerous? We've killed more of them than they have ever killed of us! They're almost extinct!" Taehyung seethes as he glares at the woman. "You know nothing."

"If the government hadn't started exterminating the wild ones, they would have killed us all by now!" The woman shouts and spits at Taehyung.

"We lived in peace until the government started murdering them!" Taehyung snarls as he slams the button to tell the driver to let him off of the bus. "People like you are murderers."

Taehyung quickly marches off of the bus and takes a deep breath of the cold January air. After taking a couple of breaths, he walks into the large office building. When he marches past his coworkers and heads to his desk, they all look at him with concern.

Once Taehyung is seated, he looks at the picture his brother sent him of a small calico cat and smiles. At least Hyung is safe. Taking a calming breath, Taehyung turns his computer on and starts working. While Taehyung works, his supervisor enters the office and goes to his desk.

To Taehyung's relief, the rest of the day is calm until his supervisor walks over to him and leans against his desk. "Are you free tonight?" His boss asks with a smirk.

"I am not. I have to go home. My Hyung is visiting." Taehyung lies as he politely smiles up at his boss.

"Why are you never free?" His supervisor asks and crosses his arms with a fake smile.

"I am really close with my family." Taehyung smiles, telling another lie. My Hyung never leaves his damn studio.

"Keep tomorrow night free." His boss grins and walks off, leaving Taehyung to shiver with disgust.

Thank god I am interviewing for a new company. Taehyung scowls and returns to his work. He loves his work, but his new supervisor never leaves him alone.

"He was being creepy again." One of Taehyung's coworkers gags once their supervisor is no longer within earshot.

"Yeah." Taehyung sighs and looks at his coworker with a tired smile.

"Your interview is tomorrow, right?" She asks and scoots closer to Taehyung.

"Yeah." Taehyung nods as he silently prays his interview goes well.
