When Hoseok arrives home, he sees Namjoon and Seokjin waiting for him. He quickly rushes out of his car to the pair, afraid they are hurt. "Do I need to call the family doctor? Are you sure that neither of you are hurt?" He asks as he checks on both of them.
"We are both okay, except that I threw my slipper at him." Seokjin softly smiles at Hoseok. "I promise that we are okay."
"Joonie hyung, you really are banned from the kitchen this time," Hoseok mutters as he hugs the lycans, relieved that neither is injured.
"Sorry," Namjoon mumbles with a small pout.
"I just don't want you getting hurt." Hoseok softly hums as he gently ruffles his fingers through Namjoon's sandy blonde hair. "Let's go in so that I can assess the damage and call someone to come and fix the kitchen."
When they enter the large home, Seokjin marches Hoseok to the kitchen to show him the burned room. Hoseok's eyes are big as he looks around the horribly damaged kitchen. "How did you do this?!" He shrieks and looks at Namjoon, who is looking at him with big, innocent eyes. "Don't you look at me like that! How on earth did you do this???"
Namjoon's fiery, golden eyes are big like a puppy's as he tries to find a way to explain that the pan just suddenly ignited. "It was magic," he mumbles as his golden eyes look down at the floor.
"Magic?" Hoseok looks at the pouting lion lycan. "Magic burned your mate's kitchen down?"
"Yeah. It just kinda ignited. I didn't even do anything." Namjoon whines as he motions with his hands how the pan suddenly went up in flames.
"I was awakened to the fire alarm going off and his shouts." Seokjin chuckles as he gently rubs his mate's back. "When I walked to the kitchen, it was literally up in flames, but the kitchen sprinkler system went off and put the fire out. Joonie is lucky that his hair didn't catch on fire."
"There is a reason why I had that separate sprinkler system put in." Hoseok sighs and shakes his head as he looks at the state of the kitchen. "Well, I will call the same company to come and take care of the kitchen again."
"Maybe we can get a discount since we've used them a few times." Namjoon perks up as he suggests asking for a discount.
"We have the money. We don't need to ask for a discount." Hoseok softly chuckles at the adorable lion.
"True." Namjoon hums and nods.
As they discuss the charred kitchen, the doorbell rings. Hoseok looks at the lycans with confusion. "Did you order something or invite anyone over?" He asks his family.
"No." Namjoon and Seokjin shake their heads as they press closer to each other.
"Go to your room. I will take care of whoever is at the door." Hoseok hums and walks over to the door. When he opens the door, he is surprised to see Jaewook standing there with the gift in his outstretched hand.
"Eunkyung noona was kind enough to tell me that you went home early." Jaewook smiles as he looks at Hoseok.
Hoseok stands in his doorway with big eyes as he stares at Jaewook in shock. His heart beats out of his chest as the man he loves surprises him at his door. He knows that Jaewook is engaged to another, but he has loved Jaewook ever since they were in college together.
"Hyung?" Jaewook's smile falters when Hoseok does not react.
"Sorry! You surprised me. Come in." Hoseok quickly snaps out of his surprise and moves aside so that Jaewook can enter his home.
"Are Jin hyung and Joon hyung home?" Jaewook asks as he walks into the large residence.
"They are." Hoseok hums and looks at the staircase as Seokjin and Namjoon walk down the stairs. "We weren't sure who was at the door." He explains and accepts the gift from Jaewook.
