Doom scrolling on Tweeter (fuck you i'm not calling it X) wasn't something Trevor normally did. But with Emily not showing up to his hotel room for the next 20 minutes, what else could he do? Do something productive? Of course not!

He just got done reading a cancel thread on some famous person he'd never heard of when he stopped on a post that caught his eye.

DISVENTURE CAMP: SEASON 4 AUDITIONS OUT NOW!

Kristal and Derek, the new hosts of Disventure Camp, are looking for new contestants to compete for the new 1.5 MILLION DOLLAR PRIZE! In a whole new place, with new and improved challenges, what could occur? Find out first hand by signing up for the competition in the link below!
(Disclaimer: Participants must be 16 years and up to compete. Auditioners under 18 must have permission by a parent or guardian to compete.)

He didn't read the whole thing, but he did read the part that said "Kristal and Derek."

He also saw the image below, with Kristal and Derek holding each others hands, lifting them up. Engagement rings were shown on both of them too. They seemed to sparkle in the light, being almost impossible to not be noticed.

That bugged Trevor. A lot.

No matter how many times he'd said it, he still wasn't over Derek. He tried dating other people, but the last guy he'd been with punched a hole in his apartment wall over a game of monopoly, getting Trevor kicked out without deposit. Now he was homeless, sad, and single, waiting for Emily to show up, so he could stay with her while trying to get back on his feet.

Most jobs wouldn't hire him after he had sabotaged the show and was fired live on national television. The only ones that would hire him were small, desperate companies, and shows that accepted his offer to hire him if they didn't have to credit him. Luckily he'd found both of those and is now working two tiring jobs. It wasn't too much, but it was enough to live, and that's all Trevor wanted.

He couldn't get the image of Derek's face when Kristal had found out and outed him in front of all the contestants and staff. Trevor was so embarrassed, and angry that him and Emily's plan didn't work, that he just ran off. He hadn't seen Derek since. He even moved out of him and Derek's shared house.

He could feel the tears filling his tear ducts like cement filled a gap. He broke down into a pathetic sob, bringing his knees up to his chest and telling the tears fall.

And just as soon as Emily opened the door.

She rushed over to him, dropping her purse and phone right by the door. "Trev?! Trevor are you okay?!"

Trevor couldn't focus on her words. He only knew she arrived by the feeling of the bed he was sitting on sink in from her sitting down. Emily put her arm around him and pulled him into a side hug. Well, kinda.

He lifted his head up from his knees and looked at Emily. Her face looked worried, and sorrowful, like looking at a puppy who was attacked. That's kind of how Trevor felt.

"You ready to talk about it?" Emily asked, cautiously. Trevor looked like he wanted to say something, but nothing came out. Instead, he latched onto Emily, pulling her into a tight, and unexpected on Emily's end, hug.

Emily immediately turned red as her hair. Especially since Trevor dove his head right into her... chest area. She'd always thought Trevor was adorable, and she'd even gotten used to his antics. But she never made her move since Trevor was always focused on the ass hat they call Derek Johnson.

But now that he was free...

She wrapped her arms around him and comforted him as he let it out, running her fingers through his soft, silky hair. After some time, he was mostly silent, apart from a few sniffles.

"Don't fall asleep now! We still have to drive to my house, and I don't think I can carry you." She joked. Trevor lifted his head, and Emily wiped the remaining tears from his face from a nearby tissue box.

"Thanks, Emily. You don't know how much this means to me." He said with a smile, pulling her into another quick hug. When he let go, he noticed Emily's cheeks becoming a bright red color. Emily noticed that he noticed, and panicked inside. "You okay, Ems?"

"Y-yeah! Of course! It's just hot in here, you know. Summer air amarite?!" She rambled.

Trevor stared at her for a second. "It's fall... and almost winter."

She internally facepalmed at herself for saying such a stupid thing. She became even more flushed. "Well... I..." There was no saving it.

"Is there something wrong? Something you aren't telling me?" Trevor asked oh so innocently. Emily knew she had no chance of lying anymore, but was this the best time to tell him? He'd just got done crying over, most likely, Derek. But again, she couldn't lie now. He'd know she was lying.

"I... I don't know if it's the right time, but..." Emily started, but trailed off just as fast. Her heart was doing so many backflips, that if it was a person it'd be breaking records.

"Something's clearly bothering you. You can trust me with anything, Emily. I owe it to you after everything you've given me, and helped me with." Trevor responds, taking her hand and putting his over it. This only made her more flustered.

"Well, I..." She takes a breath, and collects herself. You can do this. He won't push you away, he's too nice to do that.

Right?

Whatever. Yolo, right?

"I love you, Trev. Like, really love you." She looked away, anticipating his reaction, hoping for him not to avoid her forever.

Trevor was surprised, shocked even. Someone, love him? It sounded too good to be true. But by how nervous she was to tell him, to her cheeks being redder than her car (which is also red,) he knew it was.

So, he took her hand, and pulled her lips to his.

And the two lovebirds had a deep, passionate kiss.

After a minute they pulled apart to catch their breath.

"Come on, let's get to my house. It's getting late, the room's door is still open, and Olive Garden closes in an hour and a half." Emily said, pulled Trevor up and letting him get his stuff as she collected her purse and phone off the floor.

"Thanks again for this." Trevor said with a smile. "Oh, and if it wasn't obvious,

I love you too."
