3RD PERSON POV

It had been raining all day in disventure camp. because of that, Kristal decided to postpone the challenge. All the campers were relieved; mostly because Kristal said that the challenge would be the hardest yet.

The day is almost over. Most of the campers are getting ready to eat dinner. Though James finds Aiden acting strange, and instead of going right away with the others, he decides to see what's up with Aiden.

JAMES POV

Aiden has been acting weird for a while now. He seems nervous about something.

"Aiden, are you ok?" i ask him.

He jolts up from sitting on his bed. "Oh, um, yeah. I'm fine." he says, looking down. He's clearly not 'fine'.

"Are you sure? You've been acting weird. Are you nervous about something?"

"No, i'm fine. Don't worry." he says.

"Okay then."

TIME SKIP (cuz idk what to write)

Dinner was okay i guess. Aiden is on edge still though.

Once we got back in the cabin, he started getting ready for bed, even though it was only about 7:00 PM

"Aiden? Why are you getting ready for bed?" i ask him

"I'm just, kind of tired, you know?" he says back.

AIDENS POV

I'm not actually tired. I seen on james phone earlier today that it was going to storm. If it storms, that means lightings going to come from the sky, and i'm terrified of it.

But, if i get to sleep before it starts storming, not only will i not hear it, i'll also be all refreshed for the challenge tomorrow!

I just hope i can get to sleep, because right now i'm wide awake.

TIME SKIP

It has been 30 minutes, and i'm STILL not tired! Ugh, screw this. I'm going to see if kristal has any sleeping pills.

JAMES POV (and also 15 minute time skip because idk what to dO)

I haven't seen Aiden in a while. He should be in the cabin right now. It's pitch-black and storming outside right now, and i don't want him getting struck by lightning. I see lake reading a book and decide to ask her if she knows where he is.

"Hey, Lake. do you know where Aiden is? I haven't seen him in a while."

"No, i haven't. I was wondering where he was too. Do you think he'd be in the other cabin?" she asks me.

"I don't think he would be, but i'm going to go check. Do you perhaps know where a flashlight is?" i ask her.

"Yes, there's one under your bed."

I grab the flashlight and walk to the other cabin. I knock on the door and rosa maria answers.

"Oh, hey James. Do you need anything?" she asks me.

"Have any of you seen Aiden? I can't find him." i tell her.

"No, i haven't. We've all been in the cabin since dinner was over." rosa says.

"Oh, well ok." i say. I leave and go back to my cabin.

"No sign of him." i tell Lake

"Really? Well then, we must tell kristal. Him being out in the darkness is very dangerous. And with it storming, it's even more so." she says, getting up from her bed.

"You go and tell her, i'm going to try and find aiden on my own." i say.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." i say. I walk outside, not knowing where to search first.

After a minute or two, i start calling his name.

"Aiden! Aiden! Where are you?! It's dark outside! You have to come in!"

LAKES POV

I walk to Kristals trailer and knock on her door.

"Did they not work? I- oh, it's you. I thought you were Aiden." she says.

"Do you know where he is? We haven't seen him in a long time. James is worried." i ask her.

"Of course he is. The last i saw Aiden, he was going back towards the cabin. He probably got lost. It is dark out after all."

"Oh, well, ok. Thanks for your help, i guess." i tell her, looking at the ground.

"You're welcome. Once you find him you better go to sleep fast. Tomorrows challenge is going to be tough!" she laughs, and then shuts the door.

JAMES POV

I still can't find him. I am not going to bed until i find Aiden. I don't want him losing in the challenge. He could get voted out, and i'd lose an ally.

"Aiden! Aiden where are you?!" i continue to yell out. Then, i hear leaves rustling.

"Aiden?"

I walk over towards the noise, and i see Aiden. Though, he's shaking, and his head is inbetween his knees.

"Aiden? Are you ok?" i ask him, sitting down next to him.

He looks up at me. His eyes are red, probably from crying.

" t-t-thund-der" he says, while crying.

I remembered his fear of lightning and thunder. "Oh my gosh. Here, we have to go inside the cabin. Come on." i say, grabbing his hand. He stands up, and follows me.

On the way there, i can still hear him crying. Poor guy. He must be terrified.

3RD PERSON POV

James and Aiden walk back to the cabin.

"You found him! Great!" Lake says. She notices Aidens' crying "are you ok Aiden?"

"Y-yeah. I-its just the lightn-ning" Aiden says.

"Oh, you have astraphobia. It's a common fear. Why didn't you just come back to the cabin?" Lake asks Aiden.

"Well, i wanted t-to get to s-sleep before the thunder hit, b-but i c-couldn't. S-so i went to s-see if Kristal h-had any sleep p-pills. I got l-lost on the w-way back, and i-it start storming. I-i got scared and h-hid so i wouldn't get w-wet." Aiden try to say as clearly as he can.

It thundered again (does that make sense?) and Aiden jumped. James hugged him.

"It's ok Aiden. You're ok." James says.

Luckily for Aiden, that was the last lightning strike of the night.

He eventually stop crying, dried off, and went to sleep.
