At 34 years old, KIM MINGYU was still a hot topic in town. Rich, handsome, in great shape, and of course, single. Despite being divorced, his charisma had only grown, adding to his allure. He was the target of every single woman and man out there.

Initially, Mingyu, CEO of Kim Market Holdings, was known primarily within business circles. But after marrying a famous model at 28, his name became widely recognized. The public was captivated by the glamorous union, unaware that the model was already involved with someone else who was extremely attractive.

Unfortunately, their marriage lasted only three years, and news of their divorce spread shortly after Mingyu's 31st birthday.

Now, three years have passed since then.

Kim Mingyu hasn't remarried, choosing instead to enjoy his life without ties and focus on his work.

A ping from a phone inside his drawer caught Mingyu's attention. He opened the drawer, still engrossed in a pile of documents. While his left hand continued signing papers, his right hand reached for the phone on his desk, showcasing his multitasking skills.

Happy three-year divorce anniversary, ex-husband.

Want to celebrate it tonight?

Mine or yours?

Mingyu smirked as he read the message. He set aside the last document he signed before replying.

Your place, of course.

My apartment still has some workers my mom told to spy on me.

She'd know you were here.

After a few seconds, Mingyu's phone buzzed with another message.

Ah, of course. That's why I divorced you.

Such a mommy's boy.

You're already 34, Kim Mingyu.

How long are you going to let her intervene in your life?

Mingyu furrowed his brows, frustrated by his ex-husband's words. This was one of the reasons he had agreed to the divorce. Although his mother could be overbearing, she was still his mother, the one who had given birth to him. He understood that she just wanted the best for her only son.

Being mature didn't mean having to fight back against his mother, as his ex-husband often did. Instead, it was about knowing how to express his opinions respectfully and effectively to the elders, even if they disagreed.

And after his father passed away seven years ago, Mingyu only had his mother now. One of the central figures in Kim Mingyu's world.
