"Kwan, you didn't tell your mother you were coming here?" Mingyu asked, reading the message he just received from his future mother-in-law.

Earlier that day, Seungkwan had barged into Mingyu's office out of nowhere. Luckily, the taller man didn't have any meetings or guests at the time. But since his arrival, Seungkwan hadn't uttered a single word, lying on Mingyu's office couch with his face covered by his hand.

Mingyu's question went unanswered as well. He glared at Seungkwan but let him be until his phone rang.

"It's Seungcheol Hyung," Mingyu informed Seungkwan. Still, Seungkwan didn't move. Mingyu sighed and picked up the call. "Yes? Of course, he's here..."

The response made Seungkwan sit up immediately, his eyes wide. "Why did you tell him that?!" Seungkwan mouthed angrily to Mingyu.

Mingyu frowned, "Ok. I'll take him home as fast as I can." He hung up and returned to his paperwork.

Feeling ignored, Seungkwan grabbed a cushion and covered his face again. "DAMN YOU, KIM MINGYU!!" he yelled, though his voice was muffled by the cushion. Mingyu, however, didn't budge.

"I thought we were friends!" Seungkwan whined, lying back on the couch.

"No," Mingyu replied curtly without looking up from his papers. "We're fiancés, remember?"

"Oh, shut up!" Seungkwan snapped, throwing the cushion to the floor. Mingyu flinched at the younger man's loud voice. "Like you care about this stupid engagement!" Seungkwan sighed, frustration evident in his tone. "Why didn't you say anything? Why didn't you reject it? I'm losing my mind over this!"

"Seungkwan," Mingyu's tone was firm, making Seungkwan freeze. "Don't yell. I'm still working."

"Goddamn it," Seungkwan muttered, grabbing another cushion and pressing it to his face. "AAAAAAAAA!" He yelled, his frustration muffled through the cushion.

As Mingyu continued to check reports about his company's profits, he suddenly glanced at Seungkwan when he heard soft sobbing.

Mingyu pressed the intercom to his assistant. "Yunjin, bring a cup of black coffee and a chamomile tea to my office, please."

"Right away, Sir," Yunjin replied promptly before Mingyu closed the report folder.

The tall man rose from his desk and walked toward Seungkwan, who was now lying face down on the couch, still clutching the cushion to his face. The sound of Seungkwan's sobbing grew louder as Mingyu's steps approached.

"Didn't you promise me you wouldn't cry?" Mingyu asked softly, squatting beside Seungkwan's face.

"Just do your fucking paperwork. Don't mind me," Seungkwan muttered between sniffles.

"Seungkwa—"

"Why.You.Didn't.Reject.Our.Engagement.Last.Night!" Seungkwan's suppressed voice cut Mingyu off. He sat up abruptly, tears streaming down his face, the hurt visible in his eyes. "You know I have Wonwoo..." He broke down, crying again.
