"You said

"You said...." He stopped for a second. "You missed me..."

"Oh.. that..." 'shit' I thought to myself, thinking of an excuse to hide the fact that I actually meant it. Why did I even say that? I don't know, maybe be I thought that I'd never talk to him normally ever again. Because who knew that we were gonna have a conversation after all of this shit went down? Clearly I didn't, and was now suffering the consequences.

"Yea..?" He motioned his hand, indicating for me to continue.
"I...I just randomly said whatever came to my head that time, ok..."
"So you didn't mean it?"
"Nope.." said, reluctant, not wanting to let my soft side show, the side that still missed him.

He nodded his head after getting the confirmation. "Nevermind then, looks like you've changed atleast a bit after all..."
"So suddenly? Why?" I queried, a bit puzzled by the sudden change of heart.
"Back then, you wouldn't say 'random shit that came to your mouth' and instead give some thought into your words before speaking." He said, raising his index and middle finger, opening and closing them in a mocking manner.

"Yeah, and how exactly would you know that?" I asked, tone lacking enthusiasm and tinged with annoyance.
"Ok Choyeon, can you try to be real here? We dated, for almost a year, and we've known each other for more than seven. Obviously I would know a minimum of this much." He said, his voice hinting frustration.
"You know I didn't need that reminder. I was doing pretty good without it."

"What reminder?"
"About us, dating. I don't like to remember those times."
"Ok, ok, calm down." He spoke, trying to calm me down. "Anyways what are you gonna do when I go away? Like to my friends. You don't know anyone else here, do you?" He said, moving onto the last marshmallow of his stick.

"I do, met her on the bus, but I have no idea where she is."
"You know anyone else than her?" I said, tossing away his stick as he was done, me following right after.
"I do, they're from my major. But they're jerks, like bigger jerks than you,can you believe it?" I gasped dramatically, a bit more than necessary.

"Ok then, what are you gonna do?" He said, unsatisfied since none of my words yet answered his initial question.
"I don't know, I guess I'll just sit here and regret every single one of my life decisions starting from liking you to upto signing up for this trip." I ranted.
"Ouch, that hurt..." He said, his words hinting quite a bit of sarcasm.

"Aww, did it? Then I'm sorry, I'm actually glad to have met you in the first place." I said, in a rather convincing manner.

"Wait really? You mean it?"
"Of course not, bastard."
I spoke, and his lit up face dropped to a hopeless one.

"You know what, I hate you." He said, even though he didn't mean it.
"Glad that you do, but trust me, I hate you wayyy more than you ever could." I challenged. "But guess what," I sighed, "a tiny, ity bity part of that sentence was true."
"And that would be…?" he asked, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

"The part where I said I was glad to meet you, cause I really am. If not, I wouldn't have known how much of a nut men could be." She said with a wry smile, her eyes twinkling with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"Ok seriously? Do you have one single good thing to say about me?" He said, now starting to get a bit frustrated.
"Nope." I look at him and let out a little chuckle, and after a bit of a pause, I started speaking again.

"But you know, there is something that I'm genuinely glad about..."
He looked at me, not saying anything, preparing to get roasted yet once again. But that's not what I did

"I experienced was how actually loving someone felt...and it felt...nice..." Her voice grew soft and uncertain, trailing off as she spoke. "all until a certain 'someone' left me crying myself to bed for days, and I tell ya, that was not fun." I rolled her eyes and huffed, clearly done with the subject.

With that, I earned another groan from him. Poor boy did not enjoy getting reminded about that incident. But hey, he was the one who did it, so obviously I was gonna give him little guilt trips about it.
"Come on! I said it a million times that I'm sorryyy." He said, deeply highlighting the 'sorry' part. "Plus, I even explain to why I left, can you please atleast think about forgiving me? Please?" He pleaded with his voice a bit....desperate

"You know what, fine. I'll think about i-" before I could even finish properly, he unexpectedly took me in a tight and heartfelt hug and uttered a little 'thank you', an action that made me automatically cut myself off.

"Hey, I said I'll think about it..."
"I know, but it still means a lot to me." He says, still not letting go.

"Oh...I.." I utter, hesitantly as before breaks the hug.
"What?"
"Nothing." I flash a soft smile.

"I'm just glad that we were able to make up."
