"Do you still have feelings for your ex?" Seunghan had his signature smirk on, as the others surrounding us kept making this 'oohh' sound. (Idk how else to explain this ok-)
"I- ugh.." he made eye contact with me for a few seconds, but gladly, no one but Seunghan saw it. Which for me, was still a big problem. (He's gonna bug her so bad)
But instead of answering the question, he sighed one last time and took a shot glass, and started pouring himself a drink. It left me confused but also....relieved at the same time. I don't know how I'd react to whatever his answer was, and honestly, wasn't looking forward to it either.
Seunghan eyed me, and leaned back a bit, just enough to reach my ear. "Yep, he definitely still likes you." He said, fixed on his thought. "No he doesn't-" "Then why didn't he answer it?" He said, not even a millisecond after I finished.
"That....I don't know...maybe he didn't wanna hurt my feelings..?" I uttered, not knowing what else to say. "Or because he still likes you. And why would it hurt your feelings? Do you still like him?" He said, his eyes wide, as if he was investigating me.
"Don't look at me like that," I snapped, crossing my arms and glaring at him, then gave him a little playful smack on the arm. "Like what?" "Like I'm a criminal." "Well you're definitely hiding something." "Shut up." I hit him again. "And did I mention that you're weak too?" He shot.
"Did I mention you're too short to be a basketball captain?" I fired back. "Well at least I'm a mountain taller than you, you lil dwarf"
"Dwarf? Excuse me, I'm pretty tall for an average Korean girl." I argued. "So am I short? I'm fvcking 5' 10.5"." "You are, for a basketball team captain. You should look at Sungchan oppa, he's miles taller than you." "Can you stop comparing me to him? He's two years older, I'll be his height within two years"
I was about to answer again but one of the other students stopped our conversation, suggesting another activity.
"Why don't we have a little music session?" He suggested, to which more than half of the people agreed, so it was decided by the majority. "Even if we do, we need a sing or singers and atleast one person for instruments." I said.
"Can anyone here play any instruments?" He asked in answer to which many raised hands, including he and Anton. "Oh wow a lot of you do... which ones of you brought atleast one instrument?" He asked, due to which almost all of the hands came down. Except for one. That madman, Anton still had his hand up, which shone the spotlight on him.
"I brought my guitar with..." He said. I was confused. Since when did he play a guitar? I only knew that he played the cello and was barely learning the piano. But he managed to master another instrument at this short amount of time? I had to admit, it was pretty impressive. But at the same time, it felt weird. Unexpectedly, he had changed a lot, and I don't know how I felt about that. He used to professionally learn swimming, and he was good if not great at it, and he even had multiple awards for it, but now he had questionably moved onto basketball, something he visibly sucked at. And now this...I didn't have any negative thoughts about this, but it still felt new.
"Ok, so that's settled. Now we need a singer. Who here volunteers to sing? I'm not forcing anyone, so someone please volunteer." He slightly pleaded. Before anyone could react properly, Seunghan pointed to me as said, "She's a great singer-" before I hit him and he pouted.
"So do you want to do it Choyeon? No one's forcing you just so you know." The boy said, to assure my agreement. "It's fine, I can do that." I said, glaring at Seunghan, not too happy with him. "You'll thank me later." He leaned back and whispered.
"Ok Anton, go get your guitar then I guess.." I said. A few minutes later, he returned with a black and white guitar, that didn't have any visible marks on it, me assuming that it was new. "So...should we start?" he asked.
"What song are we gonna play?" I questioned, more to the rest of the people rather than him. "Anything would be ok, it's both of your choice." The boy concluded and the others agreed.(such a cooperative crowd)(and btw they weren't sitting that far, like a few ppl gap)
"Ok then, can you play 'Breath' by Russ?" I said as the few students between us pushed me to sit next to him, as it could help to plan everything out.
He wasn't paying much attention before, wiping the dust off his guitar. But as soon as I said that, his eyes jolted at my direction, head following not much after. And his eyes said, he remembered.
I looked at him and smiled softly.
"You said you wanted a second chance, right?"
