𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✧ 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐞

Chapter 41

As soon as we returned to camp, I got off the bus and big Seunghan goodbye, but of course he had to trade me as a reply. Then I stood around a free corner of the bus, waiting for Anton to get out. And exactly 3 minutes and 46 seconds later, he got off with his friends following.

"Anton!" I screamed to which he basically jumped and and Ricky looked like he was struggling to not smile.
"Hey guys, could I borrow him for a second?" I asked hesitant.
"Weren't you ju-" "Sure go on, we don't need him her right now." Yushi started but Ricky interrupted. He was like the Seunghan of of their friend group, just a bit more...freaky.

"So? What's up?" He asked as u pulled him to one of the free corners, not too far from his friends.
"Haven't you heard? Or seen? I'm pretty sure Ricky knows, did he not tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
"Ugh of course he didn't. Look." I said, bring out my chat with Seunghan and pressing on the most recent post he sent me. "What the fvck is this?"

"Wha- I- believe me I have no idea." He looked genuinely shocked.
"I know, I figured you wouldn't know either. But what are we supposed to do about this now?"
"I don't know...we could report the page? Or post an announcement that all this is a fake rumor?"

"Both of those would make things worse. If we report it, the others are gonna think that that info is actually legit if they find out and that would definitely not help. And the second scenario, who told you that the blind ass public would believe it? They're too delusional for fvcks sake."

"Do you have a way to get us out of this?"
"I might."
"I'm listening, continue."

"Let's not meet or talk to each other openly, like in the public. Let's only keep in touch through our phones, you know, insta, snapchat, whatsapp those."
I didn't want to be too sure, but I could've sworn that I saw his face dropped when I mentioned not meeting a couple of days, but it went as usual when I talked about keeping in touch through social media. But I somehow convinced myself to not dwell on that though and just carry on with our normal interactions, which wasn't getting any easier with this new problem.

"Oh uhm...sure. I should go now, the others are gonna kill me on this."
"Oh sure, I get you, I also have a pain in the ass cousin like that. So...see you- I mean I'll text you later I guess." I waved at him.
"Yea...bye.." he waved back and left. All of that was going so smoothly, why did it just have to get awkward at the end? Jeez, I can't even handle a normal conversation, what am I gonna do if I ever get to a place where I had to confess to someone?

Two more days passed, and we visited a museum and a beach respectively consecutively. And for the rumors, they were still there, but they weren't as much of a hot topic as Taesan kissing his girlfriend in public and getting caught. Oof I would die if that were me.

Most of the time I was with Yiran, Ahyun and Elysia's group, who I'd become real close with over the days. I'd also facetime Jihye and my other friends, but I decided not to speak of it  until we were face to face. That'd make things harder for all of us.

But that wasn't too long either. Today was out last night at camp, meaning we'd be leaving early tomorrow. One thing though, I hadn't seen the beach sunrise view yet, unlike the others, so decided to visit tomorrow morning, as a goodbye to this place and the good-bad experiences I've had here.

"Thanks for the pics, they turned out better than expected." I said, turning to his direction.
"Weren't we supposed to...you know..not meet up?" Anton looked around for unwanted attention.
"Yeah, but I figured there wouldn't be a crowd here today at this time."
"Turns out you were pretty accurate. I don't see anyone."

"Yea but we should head back. They aren't here doesn't mean they aren't gonna be here anytime soon." I said, putting my phone in my purse after saving the pictures.
"Hey, Choyeon?"

"Huh?"
"Thank you."
"Why? So suddenly?"
"For accepting my apology. For accepting me again."
"Then I should also be thanking you. For not being such a bastard and blowing up your chance within moments." I smiled softly.

"But don't expect me to stop calling you bastard anytime soon. The first nickname didn't work out, but I'll make sure this one does."
